Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp as both our own company email marketing platform and for many clients as well. It is really easy to get started, develop email campaigns, and generally manage contacts and lists. It's our go-to email marketing platform for new businesses and offers the path of least resistance for getting everything set up.
  • Email Marketing
  • Email Automation
  • Websites
  • Landing Pages
  • Sending emails is the cheapest form of advertising you can do.
  • List management makes it easy to send to specific groups for targeted communications.
I have used a lot of different email services and what I like about Mailchimp is its combination of powerful features, ease of use, and value. They offer a lot of features for even the free accounts and that makes it an easy transition when you're ready to start paying for advanced features.
The common theme throughout this review is that it's pretty easy to use. There are some interface quirks that are sometimes confusing at the beginning, but once you start working through them, are pretty easy to adapt to. It can take some time to fully grasp how tags, segments, and groups are different and list management works in relation to moving contacts around, but those are fairly minor as well.
We haven't fully integrated into everything Mailchimp can do. Changing a workflow in our office can be an administrative challenge and some of the things Mailchimp has recently introduced haven't inspired us to move away from some of our other CRM tools. What we do like is for Mailchimp to handle all of our marketing communication and integrate with stores to support more checkouts.
In our business, the fortune is in the follow up and Mailchimp makes it really easy to follow up with our clients and customers. One of the obstacles we face is convincing clients that people really want to hear from them instead of viewing newsletters like a bother. Fortunately, the reporting for our campaigns can support the assertion that sending out frequent emails is both good for your brand awareness and your bottom line.
Mailchimp is our go-to recommendation for anyone just getting started with an email marketing platform. The interface is fairly straightforward and the service makes it easy to set up and start sending emails. Less developed are its auxiliary services such as landing pages, websites, and CRM which seem like they have some work to do to catch up with their competition.
