Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
We are using the solarwinds npm to monitor the network availability of our networking devices like routers, switches and servers. We are monitoring the link utilization and device performance and availability uptime and downtime of the devices and their links. We are also monitoring the physical and virtual storage of our devices along with reporting and alerting.
- Resource performance monitoring.
- Link monitoring.
- Alerting.
- Reporting.
- New devices are not supported.
- IPSec VPN tunnel monitoring of the FortiGate firewall is not supported.
- Creating custom pollers does not provide the required information.
- Fast issue identification.
- Great reporting customization.
- Better alerting with defined thresholds.
We had to migrate to Solarwinds as our current tool was not providing sufficient information and its alerting and reporting was not very fruitful for us.
