In addition to basic monitoring, it provides application monitoring via supplied templates for known applications such as SQL, Exchange, IIS, and Active Directory and allows to build custom monitoring templates for other applications.

It does require additional effort and set up to monitor non-Microsoft servers, storage, and other devices
