What is Electronic Signature Software?

Electronic signature software is a cloud-based tool to help manage the creation and legal signing of a document. E-signature software reduces the amount of time a company will spend chasing signatures, emailing documents, and tracking revisions. It also encrypts document data to keep communications secure. 

Users can upload documents, tag specific areas where signatures or initials are needed, and even specify the order in which multiple users should sign the document (approval workflows). The electronic signature software will then notify the user that a document is ready to sign. Unlike paper processes, e-signature software allows you to track document status and archive completed documents for storage or auditing purposes. Some even integrate with other systems, such as CRM, HR, or accounting products.

To qualify for the Electronic Signature Software Top Rated Award, products must have at least 10 reviews written within the past year, a TRScore of at least 7.5 out of 10, and must receive at least 1.5% of the traffic in their category.
