Apricot from Social Solutions is a cloud-based case management solution for nonprofits which features data processing and analytics for tracking program outcomes in real-time and report generation. These reports are designed to be easily interpreted by donors and stakeholders. For nonprofit fundraising, Apricot may be used to track campaign and event success, and can produce statistics describing the success and solvency of any agency.

Bloomerang is a donor management system and CRM which provides nonprofits with online giving forms, online donation processing, and engagement tracking and boosting tools. TrustRadius reviewers primarily praise DonorPerfect for its easy-to-use core donor database tracking, search and reporting functionality, but also enjoy the convenience of integrating campaign creation, online donating, donor mass email, receipts, and acknowledgements all under one platform.

What is Nonprofit Fundraising Software?

Nonprofit fundraising software provides organizations with a means of soliciting donations. These may include simple email campaigns, but also live fundraising events, auctions, and other kinds of solicitation (e.g. text-to-give campaigns). Event-oriented fundraising software may provide event registration features such as event website with online registration and ticketing.

The key to successful fundraising is demonstrating which campaigns have been successful and locating likely donors. Because this cannot be understood without donor data, fundraising software often includes CRM functionality, including donor data management and powerful search features, donor generosity scoring, and engagement tracking. Nonprofit fundraising software may be bundled with case management features for health and human services nonprofits, and may be bundled with accountability and mission evaluation reporting as well to satisfy stakeholders.

Fundraising is functionally similar to advocacy and so these tools also share feature overlap. Fundraising is often a feature of higher ed as well as K-12 education, and vendors in one space are often active in the other, providing grant management tools. Reporting and donor tracking are as important a criterion for evaluating fundraising software as their fundraising campaign management features.

Products included in the 2019 Top Rated Nonprofit Fundraising Software list must have been in the top tier of their category TrustMap as of July 1st, 2019. To qualify for the Nonprofit Fundraising Software Top Rated Award, products must have at least 10 reviews written within the past year, a TRScore of at least 7.5 out of 10, and must receive at least 1.5% of the traffic in their category.  Every reviewer is verified and every review is vetted before publication.
