April 3rd, 2019 6 min read

TrustRadius Top Rated

Today, we awarded the 2019 TrustRadius Top Rated badges for Time Tracking Software. The TrustRadius Top Rated awards are the most trusted in the industry because they are an unbiased reflection of customer sentiment, based solely on user feedback and satisfaction scores. Top Rated awards are the voice of the market and are not influenced by analyst opinion, the vendor’s company size, popularity, or status as a TrustRadius customer.

Time Tracking Software

Time tracking software records and analyzes working time for business employees and individual contractors. Large businesses use these products to keep a record of employee work hours for scheduling, management, and payroll purposes. Individual contractors, on the other hand, use time tracking software to record work hours for client invoicing. Depending on the intended user, different time tracking products may include or exclude certain features. Time tracking tools for freelancers often include timers, productivity reports, invoicing tools, and payment collection capability. Time tracking tools for enterprises are often bundled with HR management software and include payroll integrations, PTO tracking, compliance tools, expense reporting, and overtime calculation. Both types of time tracking solutions are included in the list of Top Rated products below.

Enterprise buyers of time tracking software should consider their integration and ecosystem needs, such whether or not a point solution will be sufficient or if they would benefit more from a full-scale HR Suite that incorporates time tracking capabilities. Individuals considering time tracking software should consider how robust or lightweight they would like their solution to be. For example, does the solution need to include professional invoicing, payment collection, or end-of-the year reporting features?

Here are the winners:

An auto-pause feature stops timers when the computer is idle, then resumes them when users return to work. Teamwork Projects also includes a desktop timer widget, workload analysis tools, and project dashboards. When it’s time to bill clients, Teamwork Projects can create invoices from billable time logs. A significant majority (70%) of Teamwork Projects users on TrustRadius are from small businesses. “[On] billable projects, we take advantage of Teamwork’s built in Billing feature, which although basic is very sturdy and sufficient for most invoicing needs. The included Timer feature helps a lot for our technicians in the field to track the exact time they use on a specific project for billing and time compliance requirements.”
