Most people equate WordPress with "blogging". WordPress has evolved way beyond blogging to the point where many people are visiting websites that don't look like blogs, but are actually being powered by WordPress.

Squarespace is great for small businesses, solo freelancers (artists, designers, photographers), or anyone who has a limited budget. As a web developer, I know first-hand how frustrating maintenance is for both parties—I don't want to manage websites and my clients don't want to have to rely on a...

MS SharePoint is currently used as our intranet as a way to collaborate within and across units. It's available to everyone, but only power users are really using it. It has been used successfully as a document repository, and in a small way as a workflow management system with form routing. It's...

If you have some knowledge of coding or website editing, Concrete5 is a great choice. You can go into their marketplace and find additional add-ons or modules that you would like to add to your site. If you are looking for a simple web site hosting service, this may not be the option for you.

Joomla is great if a beginner or intern will be using the platform. I would also recommend it for small business owners who publish their own web content and don't have much experience. It's perfect if you're solely looking for ease of use and don't plan to heavily customize your site.
