10ZiG Technology
10Zig is well suited anywhere you would need multiple computer access within the same business without having PCs set up at each station. This is not just well suited for a business but for places like schools hospitals, etc. The virtual system replaces PCs which may have other features a user might want such as a disk drive.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is great when in the office and needing to switch work stations and wanting to hop from one computer to another or one conference room to the next so that we can pick up where we left off and being able to access all your files. The tool has also great when working from home as there is a seamless integration between my workstation in my office and my laptop at home. Citrix has been so great that there is virtually no difference between my machines in the office or at my home, making me want to never leave!

Product documentation is bloated with information and lacks documentation on assisting with first time setup.
Customer service offers very little assistance when it comes to using your support contract.
Default Policy, out of the box, allows Clipboard, File Share, Printer Sharing, Drive redirection, and others security risks that should be disabled by default.
Screenshots are not prevented, other products blank a screenshot or sniping tool image. Watermarks are the only security citrix offers and are disabled by default.
Renewal cost of support contract is 80% of initial purchase price. Other companies renewal cost is significantly less.
End users who do not properly log off can leave a hung connection, and requires manual deletion of the connection for users to re-connect.

Getting the environment setup took me three months of off and on work, with 3 complete rebuilds of the environment. Utilizing the WebUI to access the environment had presented so many random issues that we had to require end users to use the Citrix Reciever App. As it was the only stable solution.Aside from that, it hasn't required much admin intervention since the stand-up was completed.

The performance of XenDesktop is the best in the industry because of the fine-tuned protocol and years of updating. Overall, I don't think there is a better performer on the market. The question is if the added complexity of running XenDesktop is really worth the performance gain. While the latest version of XenDesktop is the easiest to deploy so far, it is still more challenging than the competitors.
In my experience the support for 10ZiG is has been really impressive. I have not had any major issues but any minor issues I have had about it were quickly resolved with their customer service. Any questions I have had were also quickly answered by either their customer care or by reviewing their online website.

The support is great when you get an engineer that knows what they are doing but getting that individual sometimes takes a while. Overall, they are professional and polite and competent in their knowledge. Sometimes the cases are open for an extended period of time which becomes very frustrating when dealing with critical issues.

Take it slow and read the directions each step of the way. If you are not familiar with Citrix products, use a reseller or other experienced engineer to assist you in the setup of your environment
The VMware has more issues as far as crashing due to overuse and other seemingly unknown issues. There is a lot more stability with the 10Zig. The Dell was slower as well as being less user-friendly and much harder to set up, use and upgrade. 10ZiG has had a lot fewer glitches thane either of the others I have tried.

VMWare View is more complicated to implement and uses linked clones. I haven't used VMWare View in awhile though and this may have changed. At the time I tested it, the performance was consistently better (especially when remote) with XenDesktop. Additionally, XenDesktop had features like personal vDisk that gave it an advantage from a user standpoint. If you have applications that require GPU acceleration, Citrix's offering is more mature in this area than VMWare View as well.

It allows us to save IT Support costs by centralizing the management of our apps.
Since the majority of the processing power being used is centralized to servers, you can extend the use of desktop hardware regardless of age in most cases.
If you have Apps that no longer run on modern desktop OS's, you can use Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenDesktop) to keep them alive by running them in a virtual instance on older OS and share them with the newer desktop OS machines.
