12d Synergy vs. LogicalDOC

12d Synergy and its ability to handle all file types really suited the engineering industry.

LogicalDoc is well suited if you want to manage the documents online with security. They provide both on-premise and cloud base services and the best security for documents. The product is less appropriate if you are working on documents conversion for large-scale uses.

• Manages multiple files in a folder, while allowing file sharing (AutoCAD, xrefs, etc.)
• Delivers HUGE (2, 3, or 5GB) files with minimal bandwidth

• LogicalDoc helps manage the documents online and they provide the best security for documents.
• I like the interface and capability of handing the data.

• 12d Synergy could provide additional analytical reporting on user behavior and usage out of the box.
• Improved speeds when referencing shared files from other 12d model projects.

• There are some limitations on documents conversion for large-scale uses, which should increase.
• Server can slowdown in some occasions.
• I think configuration could be a bit complex.

Hands down prefer 12d Synergy. Bentley ProjectWise is overly complex, expensive and has a very cluttered interface.

LogicalDoc provides great features and data security.
