12d Synergy vs. OpenText XM Fax

12d Synergy and its ability to handle all file types really suited the engineering industry.

XMedius is well suited for a large business with hundreds of fax numbers. Could you imagine trying to manage 1000 individual fax machines? That would be a nightmare! Instead it's all in one neat place

• Manages multiple files in a folder, while allowing file sharing (AutoCAD, xrefs, etc.)
• Delivers HUGE (2, 3, or 5GB) files with minimal bandwidth

• Contacted sales to set up the creation of enterprise accounts directly through the dashboard.
• XM Fax Support worked directly with Xerox to correct an issue I had with a device software update. Issues correct within a few days.
• XM Fax provided onsite sales support for sales and technical training.

• 12d Synergy could provide additional analytical reporting on user behavior and usage out of the box.
• Improved speeds when referencing shared files from other 12d model projects.

• Error logs include error codes, but sometimes it is hard to understand what it means. Either a shared documentation or detailed error log might help end users better to detect any issue on fax requests.

The 12d Synergy team is always ensuring our issues and needs are resolved promptly. Whether it be on the forum or phone, they are kind and helpful

Hands down prefer 12d Synergy. Bentley ProjectWise is overly complex, expensive and has a very cluttered interface.

XMedius does faxing for a quick response from an end user where Egnyte is best suited for secure file transfer.

• 12d Synergy has solved our multiple office syncing issues, adding the ability to have staff from remote offices collaborate together on projects.
• Email saving used to be a nightmare, however, staff finds 12d Synergy's email saving easy to use and are able to search for saved emails quickly.

• I m not sure on pricing or how XMedius is pricing solutions now
• Cloud-based / vs On-Prem I think my vote always goes for on Prem
