250ok

250ok is a great tool for companies that have recently switched ESPs to monitor inbox placement or for companies that historically have been having email deliverability issues and would like to learn about the root cause and improve. Unlike ReturnPath, 250ok doesn't offer certification, but honestly, you don't need certification if you follow the Gmail/Microsoft/AOL/Yahoo bulk sender guidelines. I haven't seen a company which significantly improved their results with that certification and I've been working for one major ESP for 7 years. 250ok is a good diagnostic/monitoring tool but it is not a panacea for those who continue to violate sender guidelines due to poor list/content management.

It's great for professionals and beginners with a list over 2K. Easy to use and good training for those without experience.

Pinpointe On-Demand

  • The analytics and reporting tools that give us the statistics on the email campaign. Being able to extract this information into an Excel sheet makes sharing results across the board much easier.
  • To find out how many bounces, unsubscribes, opens, and clicks is very useful information to use when it comes to moving forward with the leads/prospects.
  • Having the option to personalize pre-made templates or create your own allows you to tailor your email campaign to fit your company's brand--a huge part of showing/creating your identity as a company.

  • Documentation website could use some improvement (i.e. Search on the API Guide page, videos in the User Guide).
  • Can't copy/paste certain things from the UI (i.e. IP ranges).
  • Doesn't integrate directly with some ESPs although it's easy to just use new seed lists.

  • Depending on the amount, when I am in the middle of uploading a list of contacts I get bumped out and have to submit a request to increase my dataset. That being said, our company as a whole is happy with what Pinpointe provides us with as is.

Pinpointe has worked very well for the email campaigns we manage through there. We will continue to use them while this continues to be effective. As our bounce rates decrease with Pinpointe, we will continue to increase our usage of the product.

They are quick to respond to requests, usually within an hour. If they don't have an immediate fix to a problem, they let me know what the status is and what they are doing about a request. In some cases, if the development team needs to be involved because a bug is found, they have fixed and patched the system same day. Rarely do I ever get that kind of customer support response with any other company.They don't have a premium support tier because they treat every request with the same level of professionalism and response time (again, to at least let you know it was received and an actual person is looking at it, even if they are busy with other requests).

After using Litmus for a few years, we enjoyed their feature set but were not pleased with price and feature changes. Email on Acid was a good choice for testing your email templates but didn't have enough features for email deliverability monitoring.Between Return Path and 250ok, we were interested in the whitelisting that Return Path offered, but could not get dedicated IP addresses required by them to move forward.

Whereas MailChimp felt very simple (both as a pro and a con), Pinpointe allowed us to achieve the same simplicity when we wanted it, and to be able to go well beyond that simplicity when we needed that instead.Constant Contact was our original platform for email marketing, but after using Pinpointe, we easily made the decision to switch given the reporting, the constant addition of new, requested features by users, and the deliverability of emails via Pinpointe. We do still use Constant Contact, but only for event management.
