2Checkout is great when you sell software licenses online or when you offer SaaS subscriptions. I don't think it can work in other scenarios.

Sage Intacct

I'm still learning the functionality and there are definitely some issues with regards to Balance Sheet postings. Yes, the details should be in the subsidiary ledgers as well as the Income Statement but the summary's should be able to be seen when viewing the BS accounts and if detail is needed, then there should be drill down.However, I am thrilled to be using Sage as it is leaps and bounds better then our legacy system. I'm sure my rating will go up after I have used the solution more.

Sage Intacct

  • Although the reporting is great, it is far more sophisticated than what I was used to. Grasping the reporting can take a lot of time, but once I got it I got it.
  • Implementation was stressful, but any conversion of a GL is. However, knowing what I do now, I would have set up some dimensions a little different than what I did.
  • Some of the training videos and help center information on newer products within Intacct do not have enough detailed information to be helpful. Understanding the basics is easy, but diving deeper into the product there are not always enough training materials.

currently you must submit a ticket via the customer portal and then wait for a response. The time you must wait for the response varies based on the urgency of your request. Sometimes you just need a quick response and a phone call would be easier or even a live chat ~ would love to see them roll that out instead of having to wait when you have a question or issue.

It was great for generic training but we had the system modified by our third party implementer and a lot of that was not covered in various training's that we received or took online. Attended Advantage last year and that as super helpful in learning a lot of the intricacies of the system.

I would not use a thrid party administrator to implement your system, especially if you are going to be modifying the system at all. Use Intacct implementors as they will be able to better support you on any issues that come up after you go live.

I used to sell my software on Avangate and PayPal at the same time. Costs were very similar but I decided to abandon PayPal because it sometimes required human interventions. I also checked DigitalRiver, but it wasn't easy to setup and I never completed all requirements.

Sage Intacct

I have used Great Plains, QuickBooks, MAS90, and several others and none of them had the functionality, ease of use, and intuitiveness that this product has. We are able to streamline tasks, minimize data entry, conduct intercompany transactions with ease, and automate the accounts payable approval process which has saved both time and money. I am so excited to have this software and to be able to focus on other tasks. We have taken our month end close down to less than 10 days which has resulted in more timely reporting and the ability to move between entities makes everything easier. It's just a fabulous product!

  • We are able to perform allocations from our Central operations into our campuses on a monthly basis. This really helps us when it is time to analyze a campus to see if they are profitable from a direct expense versus allocation methodology.
