As a 360 assessment it rates very well when compared to our previous vendor. 360-Degree Feedback is more affordable so it allows departments to avail themselves of the opportunity to help their team members learn more about themselves, which would have been cost-prohibitive with our previous vendor.The support department has been FANTASTIC! Quick responses on all any small issues and easy to work with for customizing templates. The system allows us to add rater groups and increase the group sizes easily.

Oracle has a brand weight that fuels both long-term viability and customer attraction—making the solution difficult to dismiss in any HCM software selection process. Oracle HCM Cloud with Taleo is well suited for customers and offers options such as on premise/private/hybrid cloud solutions. HCM cloud offerings provide some of the best enterprise information security in the software industry, thanks in large part to Oracle's database beginnings which allow for granular security (including encryption at column/row or full table depth), as well as an IT infrastructure for hosting that is best-in-class. New improvements in HCM cloud are what the future of HR industry needs per multiple surveys conducted in the software industry.

Oracle has an excellent support model. The challenge is in adopting this support model and making traditional IT and non-mature system administrators use this model. In combination with the Oracle Cloud (client) Community, the support is excellent.

There is a lot of potential on Fusion. We have reaped about 10% of potential benefits. Especially on Workforce Intelligence, the opportunities are huge. The reason why we do not use the solution at its full potential is not in the product (which is simple and transparent). A roadmap is under construction to bring more of its potential to the end user.

Alternatives Considered

I've seen or used several of the other 360 tools. EchoSpan is better in nearly every way. It is more customizable. It can be administered completely by someone internally, so no need to request someone to set up a 360 - you can just do it yourself. Competency library is great, and you can create others if you want to. Reports are easy to interpret. Very good customer service
The other alternatives might be good but the sheer number of different applications I can seamlessly integrate with using HCM gives it an edge. Using one suite that caters to the alpha and omega of your needs, is always better since we don't need to worry about these complex systems not playing well with each other.

Taleo (owned now by Oracle) continues to be an incredibly powerful product and it's scalability is among the most robust of any ATS in use today.

Return on Investment

  • Improved awareness of employee strengths and weaknesses
  • Absolutely increased recruiter efficiency
  • Candidates are quickly screened and feedback can be provided immediately
  • Ability to utilize as a search tool to quickly find candidates for open positions is very positive
