[Adobe Analytics] is best suited for digital analytics like web analytics and customer journey. It can handle a tremendous amount of data and the beauty of being online it will work faster than any other web analytics tool. Dashboards and reports are super easy to create with the drag and drop functionality.

  • Adobe Analytics is very visually pleasing and user-friendly; my favorite thing is the simple drag and drop feature that makes the workspace flexible and clean.
  • Reports are easy to read with the help of graphics; another reason why Adobe Analytics is visually appealing.
  • Customer support; while it is sometimes slow to receive help, at least customer support exists, compared to Google Analytics.

The platform is pretty straightforward as far as creating new segments and what's available to do so. The launch of digital advertising has greatly improved in recent months which has been great for our digital team. Adding or removing users and updating integration points is pretty easy as well. Reporting has also been recently updated which makes reporting on usage and ROI much easier too.

The workspace interface has made it really convenient to break down dimensions and metrics for deep down analysis. The visualization and ability to build segments quickly are really powerful. Calculated metrics also help in deriving additional insights without having to move data to Excel. There is scope for improvement by adding additional visualizations for customer journeys and data warehouse extracts.

Above and beyond! I personally meet with our customer success manager sometimes multiple times a week to build a strong ABM strategy, look at new capabilities, etc. I also join the user groups as much as possible to hear from the product team which has been amazing. Next up I am looking forward to their 2-day virtual event as I am sure the content will be extremely educational.

I give the rating of a 4 just because it seems more like a process that is failing. Any time I have put a request in, they have taken days, sometimes weeks, to get back to me and even then, the issue may still persist. I believe this is the biggest weakness of the Adobe Analytics tool and has a lot of room for improvement.

It was a one-day training several years ago that cost the organization several thousand dollars. There were only about 10 people in the training class. Adobe tried to cram so much information into that one-day class that none of our users felt like they really learned anything helpful from the experience. Follow-up training is too expensive

It is a large effort to implement. Throwing a developer with zero experience with Adobe Analytics with no support is a REALLY BAD IDEA!!! Having experienced developers working as a team is crucial to a strong implementation. I say this because I have experienced both scenarios. I was the only developer on an implementation project and I had no experience with Adobe Analytics. As a result I made many architecturally bad decisions which lead to a rigid fragile implementation that eventually was scraped. It took some hard lessons to learn that Adobe Analytics was not as simple as their sales reps make it sound. Using the Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager made sequential implementations incredibly STRONG. Having a DTM to manage the code was a miracle and a life saver!!! If you plan on doing a big enterprise level implementation, please seriously consider using the Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager!!! it made code maintenance super slick and easy which is super important for a developer!!!

It was a very close call to Triblio. Ultimately, I made the decision to go with 6sense for 2 reasons. 1. When it came time to negotiate price, 6sense told me that they wouldn't remove customer service and support from the packaging because they felt that was key to client success. 2. I felt that the sales team could start to identify accounts that were already in decision/purchase stages so as we were getting ramped up and onboarded they didn't have to wait for marketing.

Adobe Analytics runs a close 3 with Google Analytics and pales in comparison with Webtrends. I inherited management of Adobe, but if I had my choice I'd switch to Webtrends if not for their ease of SQL customization and their ability to easily create bitstream data without costly add-ons. When you work as an analyst, telling your boss that you need more money for software they've already purchased does not go over well. I could finagle it, but with so many key pieces relying on our web data, it's not worth it.

  • As a direct result of some of our insights we obtained through Adobe Analytics, we focused on improving our mobile web pages which resulted in a significant increase in conversion rates for mobile devices (can't disclose actual figures here). We had no idea previously what % of our customers were going through certain processes on our website on a mobile device and the experience had been built for a desktop.
  • One of the insights the Next Page Flow and Fallout reports helped us find was that fallout rates for the first step in one of our multi-step processes on the website were over 50%! That helped us identify that the first step was too complicated, and we simplified it and that resulted in a >30% improvement.
