6sense is well suited for organizations that are looking for a single ABM orchestration platform. Their intent data and scoring algorithm seem to be very accurate. Their advertising is very easy to use but I don't have confirmation yet as to the accuracy of the targeting.

Demandbase

Demandbase is well suited for people who are prospecting into a territory and having your prospects come to you based on their interest in your product. It's another arrow in the quiver for getting meetings with people who are engaged with your product. The first thing I do in the morning as an SDR is going into Demandbase to see which new potential prospects show up in the highlighted section. It helps know which prospects are already aware of your product and generates a warmer conversation.It's not a silver bullet. Some of the prospects may be doing research but are not in a buying cycle at the moment. It's helpful to not overly share what they've downloaded or engaged with but rather use a general elevator pitch with specific examples of how we could help with problems they're facing.

  • Their predictive analytics has thus far proven to be incredibly accurate
  • The UI is intuitive and provides a very good user experience
  • Their implementation process was excellent! What might have been overwhelming and cumbersome was made simple and easy to understand.

  • The account selection tool does a good job of ranking accounts by criteria. You can sort your target accounts by intent, size, industry, surging traffic or interest, or combinations of factors.
  • The retargeting tool allows for personalized ads at scale. Without having to create hundreds or thousands of creative sets, you can dynamically customize ads to speak to your prospects by name.
  • Demandbase's reporting provides great visualizations of the impact of your marketing efforts. You can see from first touch to closed business how deals were influenced by your efforts.

  • No way to easily use UTMs for ads. If you want to use UTMs for different campaigns but the same creative, you have to upload the ads multiple times in order to be able to use different UTMs
  • Getting the predictive model up and running took a bit longer than we hoped
  • Should be able to allow spend to go to the top performing ads in campaigns rather than be spaced out evenly

Demandbase

  • This technology only works for visits emerging from large enterprises. If the visitor is accessing your website from outside of his/her company network (e.g. working from home and using an ISP) then you can not identify those visits. Also, if there is IP-spoofing used by some large/mid-size corporations then you can get falsified data.
  • Same logic holds for small or micro businesses where the business uses an ISP (internet service provider such as Comcast or AT&T) to browse your website then those visits can not be mapped back to a particular small/micro business.

This has allowed us to create industry specific visitor site experience as well as account specific site experience. This is expected to lead to higher conversion on the site.Therefore, we are very much likely to continue to use it.

The platform is pretty straightforward as far as creating new segments and what's available to do so. The launch of digital advertising has greatly improved in recent months which has been great for our digital team. Adding or removing users and updating integration points is pretty easy as well. Reporting has also been recently updated which makes reporting on usage and ROI much easier too.

Demandbase does have a learning curve, but once you get into it, the platform becomes very easy to use overall. I had a couple of sessions with our reps to have training sessions. After I was established, the only time I need help is with updates to the platform.

Their Customer Success model is delivered as advertised. We're very satisfied with the availability of support. They care as much about our success as we do. We also had an issue where we believed there was an issue in a piece of functionality. They continued to dig until they found the problem and immediately put the fix into a patch.

I don't deal a whole lot with the customer support, focused more on the use of it but from my experience, it's been fine. They've replied to my issues in a timely manner, never more than a day. The advertising team might be another story but I can't speak directly to that.

Demandbase has its own intent data, and we can also integrate other party intent data like Bombora, but that is optional. We like their office hours so that we do not need to spend an extra dollar to get expert help. The price point is also very justified for everything we get from it.
