6sense is well suited in areas such as creating a campaign for our site. For example, "grill season". It makes it easy to create a campaign to advertise all our grills, best selling [grills] and create certain price updates/categories. It is not as useful on the product campaign, coupon and sales level, but still more useful than platforms we have used in the past.

Suited to high functioning sales teams who need to increase their outreach to drive business. Not so suited to account managers who might balk at the idea of automating messages to important clients. Its usage massively enables sales people to get their messaging out there as quickly and as diversely as possible, but is less important for targeted, personalised messages without going against its main USP.

Cons

  • Some of the terms used are a learning process for our team, but the site is easy to navigate.
  • Although the site is easier to navigate, it has a lot of facets that take time to learn where elements are saved.

  • The intelligence dashboard is difficult to manage and navigate. It essentially is an RSS feed based on the companies you've enrolled in Playbooks. It's initially smart but is a lot of information to go through.
  • We cannot effectively manage and sort through our plays. With a team of 30 people who all have 10s of plays we often have to sort through hundreds of plays in order to find what we want.
  • Sometimes call recordings don't come through correctly. This is especially annoying because it happens on the longer 30+ minute calls where you're liable to miss some key notes and would like to listen to a recording and retrace your steps.

The ISDC tool integrates very well into the Salesforce CRM tool. I like how it sits on top of the window and still allows you to view the lead along with relevant information in SFDC while in a call with the customer within Playbooks. The main area for improvement here would be allowing the tool to use in other browsers besides Google Chrome

Alternatives Considered

Oracle is not user-friendly. It is outdated and confusing, also makes it hard to enter in and out of certain tabs/areas within the platform. 6sense is more in-depth and has more functional abilities compared to Salesforce.

I was not a decision maker in the purchase of Inside Sales.com but, it has impacted the manageability of my workload in addition to what Salesforce support I have.

  • It is easier to monitor our ROI on certain campaigns, departments, subclasses, within our sites.
  • We have less issues with launching campaigns correctly and the site crashing on us while processing and developing these campaigns.
