8x8 Virtual Office Enterprise Suite

Some of the best scenarios are working remotely. It really allows you to get everything you need out of an office phone right from your computer/cell without any need for hardware. It's not great when you've already plugged in a dialer of some sort, or software like Outreach.io that has some overlap in features (click to dial, especially).

Genesys PureConnect

Since we have just passed our one year mark I can only rate this as a 7 to recommend to a colleague. I would definitely recommend to those who are unfamiliar with CRM's. Genesys PureConnect has been able to streamline the process and put all of the key factors into their platform. They are still adding more everyday of course but it is a very simple platform. Which is great for those who are just starting off! I'm not sure I can see it working as well for extremely robust organizations as their is limited manipulation of the platform allowed to meet specific needs. Again, I'm only a little over a year in and could be wrong

  • Improve the visibility of the media servers for stats and performance from the ICBM client for Admins. Implement alerts for performance counters on the media servers.
  • More dashboard stats for system/business users (Managers).
  • Better Canned reports out-of-the-box, provide ease of use to customize the reports.

Alternatives Considered

I had no control over this but we are using 8x8 virtual office enterprise suite to get some of the functionality, mostly click to dial and contact handling. It's not exactly a competitor, but if you're looking for an easy way to utilize your company phone system remotely, I've had a great experience, including working from home for an entire month on it.
CCA was taken over and killed by Oracle so there really is no comparison

Genesys PureConnect's core and adjunct model allows for fairly easy growth in satellite locations via off site session managers, remote located media servers, remote content servers, etc to allow you to spread the infrastructure out while not pushing as much network traffic to your core data centers.

Return on Investment

  • I've reached more leads and contacts than before because I can text to set appointments
  • It checks off many necessities on our list.
  • It is a pain with the random problems.
  • Support can be tedious.
