It is well suited for any large or small company as it works well and is very scalable. I would recommend it for any size company or scenario.

BlueJeans

BlueJeans is well-suited for our group meetings of about 15 people, and also well-suited for one-on-one screen sharing. Something along that line that I like is also the feature of "screen share only." Sometimes I start talking to someone on the phone, and we realize it would be better to see each other's screens. I can give them my permanent personal meeting ID and we can join as "screen share only," still talking on the phone, so that we don't have to switch audio but can just keep talking as we get the screen set up. As for where it's less appropriate, if you are screen sharing and rely a lot on chat, especially chat that cannot be seen by others, it's not well-suited for that.

Pros

  • Faxes and voicemail -- the quick sending of both to email makes for a very reliable method of not only processing, but also storing them as attachments which is vital.
  • Call reflecting from desk to cell phone is instantaneous, and very useful whenever one is away from the office but still needs to get client calls.
  • Very high-quality audio typically indistinguishable from a landline, in a much more affordable problem sliding package.

  • The sound is always clear -- a number of employees have commented on that. We used to use GoToMeeting, and when we got BlueJeans, that was the most frequent comment about why they liked BlueJeans better. I've used GoToMeeting with our company and attended WebEx and Zoom with other companies, and while there are generally no complaints about the sound at the others, something about BlueJeans sound seems exceptionally clear.
  • It's cheap. I'm not sure about the current price comparison, but when we switched from GoToMeeting to BlueJeans, BlueJeans was about one-third of the price of GoToMeeting.
  • It's easy to use. I've had much fewer issues with people joining, being able to mute them, and things of that nature than I had with GoToMeeting. Screen sharing is easier also. There's also a permanent personal meeting number that I can use anytime for an instant, unplanned meeting.
  • Customer support has been excellent. They're generally easy to get in contact with and are knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

  • The product is young, and we have identified several bugs in released versions of their product. Their internal test processes need help.
  • My company is a global organization, they have not had the proper dial patterns in place for much of the EU region. They don't seem prepared to support a global enterprise.
  • Their app seems a bit clunky on the back end and on many users PC's; it is consuming way more resources than it should.

  • We would love to have multiple rooms accessed
  • Since we are a small company only using internally, the bigger packages don’t make sense for us, but would be interested in a middle ground
  • You guys really do a great job

Based on their poor customer service and lack of warranty replacement, I would not recommend or use 8x8.

We are heavily invested in another platform. However the features are not quite the same as BlueJeans. If they do become more like BlueJeans (especially the video sharing), then our need for BlueJeans would significantly decrease. An even better option would be if they bought BlueJeans...

Once you're familiar with it, the system is easy to use; however, new users tend to struggle until they install the end user applications rather than use browsers. The sync-up to Outlook makes it extremely easy to click on a meeting and connect even if the application is not installed, but default mic and headphones setup work better with the BlueJeans application itself.

BlueJeans if usually available when we need it. We have used it on holidays, on weekends, and at all times of days with no problem. BlueJeans is also very communicative when there are issues affecting availability....

Ten times better and easier to use than 3cx. Interface and features are simple.

Zoom is an interesting product but when we tested it the quality was noticeably degraded from what we experience with BlueJeans.

Return on Investment

  • For my company, the move to a cloud-based phone service that offers all communication forms is going to save over $500,000 per year.
  • The move to the cloud saved us from having to replace soon to be end-of-life hardware and re-allocate the human resources that were managing the hardware. This is additional savings to the $500,000 mentioned above.
  • The move also allowed us to cancel our GoToMeeting contract and leverage Google and 8x8 Meeting Services.
