Zoho CRM is a great CRM for organizations of all sizes. It's best used as a tool to organize and communicate with clients and prospective clients. Our sales staff uses it on a daily basis to continuously keep notes on their communication with clients during the sales process.At times, it feels like Zoho CRM is trying to offer too much and it can be overwhelming if trying to use all features and capabilities. It's better to focus on a handful of features and get your organization using those features on a consistent basis than trying to incorporate everything that Zoho can do

  • Organization - we had a hard time prior to using Zoho CRM with keeping leads and qualified prospects separated in our old CRM. The fact that Zoho is so well organized, customizable and user-friendly really helps us in keeping the sales rolling in! When you're organized, you're unstoppable with outreach!
  • User-Friendly - our old CRM (Salesforce) wasn't as user-friendly as Zoho CRM. I find it incredibly easy to navigate, organize, set up customization, and keeping groups of prospects linked together under one account. I love that we were able to customize filters for reports, activity lists, billing, leads, etc... SO EASY TO USE!
  • Customer support is fantastic! Anytime we've come across an issue or something we didn't understand, their support team has gone above and beyond to quickly help us resolve any issues we may have had. Most of these issues were user error.

  • The licensing is area that could be improved. You need to really study the different tiers of service to make sure the tier you purchased provids the support you need.
  • Additional workflow / automation rule support would also be appreciated
  • Integration support - particularly with accounting tools like QuickBooks

We went through an exhaustive process doing this evaluation and in the process took the time to really understand the objectives and requirements of all groups within the organization. Now that the system is in place it needs to be used and refined over a long period to time in order to get the full value. As a result you need to consider the long-term and renewal knowing that the system will get better the more you use it.

Zoho CRM is extremely intuitive and allows users complete visibility of sales data through reports/analytics. The platform has wide native integration with other cloud-based business solutions. But, it's fairly simple to write scripts with their publicly available API.

The CRM is only as good as the data you put into it. Spend the time up-front to clean up your old data sources prior to importing them into Zoho

Alternatives Considered

I have evaluated a couple different IP phone systems and the others needed the user to configure their router and do things on their end in order for the phones to work. With 8x8, it was simply plug and play.

We evaluated Zoho, HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Salesforce and chose Zoho and HubSpot. Zoho CRM has all of the features that Salesforce and Pipedrive has, but is more affordable than Salesforce and has better UI than Pipedrive. HubSpot has more features for marketers than Zoho, so we use HubSpot for most of our marketing goals and Zoho CRM for both marketing and sales goals.

  • Communication tools and assignment of tasks has led to a much more efficient way of communicating between our customer service representatives, our Regional Sales Managers, and our Distributors
  • The wealth of sales reports created and integrated from our AS400 to Zoho using Zoho Reports have made management extremely happy
