    8x8 X is well suited for our company. Generally, there are no dropped calls. Our employees spend a lot of time on the phone with clients. Faxes go through smoothly and are received smoothly. Updates are done on a continuous basis. Great product for our company and our employees.

    BlueJeans Meetings is a video conferencing software that provides collaboration tools allowing you to start face-to-face meetings with perfect performance, excellent wireless video, and HD voice. It totally appropriates the need to see the faces of colleagues, clients, and employees who are in different geographical locations with the experience as if we were in the same place; it makes it easy for us to do business with potential clients without having to go from one place to the other, which means a great advantage.

    • I'd like the ability to delete old chat/SMS messages
    • When I delete a voicemail, I'd like to see a popup that gives me the option to delete the incoming phone number simultaneously instead of having to hop between "Calls" and "Voicemail".
    • When setting up new users and inviting them to download and install the desktop app, it would be nice if the invite could come from my company email rather than having to warn the new user to be on the lookout for an email from 8x8. I always have to send an email reminder to the new user who may have deleted the email from 8x8 because they didn't recognize it. This adds extra steps as an admin to the process.

    • Limited use of 25-person meeting display: it's simply not practical for smaller devices or computer screens.

    I have used many other competing platforms platforms; however, despite the fact that BlueJeans lacks certain features others offer, familiarity, ease of use, and several things BlueJeans does better than others mean that I will stick to BlueJeans. Further, whenever I have faced a problem, I have found BlueJeans support excellent overall; no lengthy wait to understand and resolve an issue. Good product, great support, BOTH TESTED OVER TIME; I do not have an incentive to move to another platform.

    Most of the easy day-to-day questions are no longer even questions due to the ease of use and simplified experience on 8x8. Changing voicemail via the desk phone or mobile app could be simplified or match the ease of using the 8x8 desktop app.

    I don't have much experience of joining a meeting from an attendee of someone else's. As for joining a meeting I've created, it's very easy. For recurring meetings, I find the meeting in my list, and if it's near the time to start, there will be a "Join" button, and I just push that. After that, it gives me the options for joining -- video, audio, phone, screen share only. It remembers my previous choices, so mostly I just can click by that. As for attendees joining, there do seem to be connection problems from time to time and people have to log off and come back on, but we had that trouble with GoToMeeting also. Being able to mute attendees is much better in BlueJeans. When we had GoToMeeting, I constantly had problems with people joining by phone incorrectly, such that they didn't even show up in the meeting list and thus I couldn't mute them when needed.

    Reliability and Availability

    In the time I have used 8x8 Virtual Office, the core system has been up and running almost flawlessly though we do have a slight performance degradation from time to time as is expected of cloud software. The one recurring issue for us is that the fax connection is not always functional for outbound messages. We usually have to retry three or four times to get the fax to connect reliably to the destination machine. Once connected, it's smooth sailing.

    No problems with performance, Pages load as they should. I can't answer on the reports side as only a handful of our Admins ( call center ) currently use that side of the software. It does intergrate very well with Office for meetings and conferences. Sometimes there is a slight lag or static when users are talking, but we found this to be a cause of a users computer had not restarted in a while, Once the user restarts thier computer the problem is resolved, So this is not an issue with 8x8

    This has been a continual issue with our organization. We are a IP/H323 infrastructure so we integrate BlueJeans via the IP/H323 connections to the cloud. We still have inconsistent results with calls. Some work without issue and some calls are horribly choppy and at times freeze. If I have one complaint or reason to seek out a different competitor its this

    I am not impressed with the response to tickets we input. I never feel like they take the time to fully understand our issue. For instance, we could not record a new VM and save it. We tried everything. No one suggested deleting old messages (which we did after the call and it seemed to help), no one gave alternate solutions, and no one really seemed to understand the urgency of the matter. I would much rather have a point person or team I turn to for problems rather than just calling in and getting someone that does not understand our business, how we use the product, etc.

    In all these years, there has been ONE instance when a problem I pointed out (with screenshots, no less) was DENIED. That apart, though there have been a few instances where there has been a delay in resolution (more to do with offering new features), I have NEVER felt frustrated about help not being on hand when I needed it most.

    The person giving the training was very engaged, He also listened and answered all the questions. He created a video for our company while he was training in case we needed to reference it again in the future. The questions he could not answer were answered within 24 hours via an email to the IT support staff here so we could share the answers with the rest of the group

    The implementation of 8x8 X was rather smooth. We had training prior to getting the system. The IT company did a good job on the training. The whole system is wonderful. Saves me so much time with the faxing, as i can just let it go by itself and not have to make sure pages don't get skipped, as with a regular fax machine.

    For me its a simple video conferencing call tool, and implementation is simply setup user account give quick tutorial during the newhire orientation faze and then the user is good to go. There is not much you need to do to get this operational. sure if you want more security there are a couple extra steps but overall simply

    The 8x8 UCaaS solution provides the same functionality that we were looking for that is the same as the other cloud-only phone vendors that we also looked at. However, the integration of the 8x8 UCaaS with the 8x8 CCaaS was also a big factor in why we liked 8x8 better. The pricing of 8x8 also was more favorable and their sales team was the most responsive and helpful out of all the vendors.

    BlueJeans stacks up comparably to other services. It does lack in some areas compared to others, particularly Zoom, which is more widely used, but BlueJeans had been used for quite some time by the University and offered the feature set and accessibility that we were looking for. If BlueJeans continues to add the features and improvements to help it better compete with Zoom, it will be a very good product relative to the competition.

    Scalability

    We've had periods where our organization has grown a considerable amount and we have had no issues in scaling our communications with 8x8. The number of possible extensions that we can use is far more than we expect to go through in a very long time. The only complaint that I have is a very minor inconvenience for me where I have to download activation codes for each phone. I would prefer to have the phones automatically activated as soon as they are plugged in.

    I believe BlueJeans is easy to scale, but we have a different business model that requires a more central scheduling need. Most vendors operate on an enterprise wide environment with a one to one licensing. We have a centralized group of video administrators and schedulers that do the majority of the scheduling for multiple departments. Because we are a centralized scheduling group we need shared access to on schedule not multiple users delegating access to one another. I.E. if I have 5 schedulers, under the current licensing they would each have individual accounts and delegating those accounts to one another. So when receiving a support call they have to search 5 individual schedules to make changes to meetings. This I think is a valid need even for smaller businesses that just have a few schedulers for the rest of the groups. It would be easier if it scaled within the individual accounts

    • 8x8 [X Series] has been a staple for our organization for years, while it has worked, it has become dated and requires a massive update.
    • The latest update took us offline for 72 hours. Despite adhering to the instructions given in the update email.
    • Mobile and desktop apps do not function properly. The "Helper Tool" does not work and is a nuisance.

    • As our company moved to a fully remote working arrangement in early 2020, we relied heavily on BlueJeans to allow our teams to function. Thankfully it allowed us to continue without missing a beat.
    • In the absence of in person travel and meetings, BlueJeans has allowed our sales teams to still connect with clients and meet sales targets in spite of difficult circumstances leading to success in what could have been an otherwise disastrous situation.
    • BlueJeans has also helped ensure our teams stay connected and provided an atmosphere where virtual happy hours and team hang outs could occur during a completely remote work situation.
