Simple conversions from Acrobat PDF docs that have been created by Word, Excel, etc., probably do not need this program. But if you are ever faced with anything more than simple, straightforward conversions, this program is definitely worth it and will save hours of work. I have not found anything else that even comes close.

Microsoft Exchange

In a nutshell, Exchange is well suited to any organization that uses email. This includes Exchange on-premises or hosted on Office 365. In my experience, it bests any other email solution in performance, cost of ownership, reliability, and redundancy, and ease of use for end-users. On-prem Exchange might less appropriate for very small organizations, but those can easily be set up on Office 365.

  • Exchange makes use ease of access by integrating with Lync/Skype For Business/SharePoint as well as personal archives and large mailbox support.
  • Exchange provides multi-layered anti-spam protection keeping your users safe from email threats.

Cons

  • It's a little challenging to edit the row breaks.
  • Sometimes selecting all the pages in a document is cumbersome. "Select all" with custom conversion does not always choose all pages.

Alternatives Considered

None, except for conversions in Acrobat.

I haven't used alternatives to Exchange. I use GMail for personal messages, but GMail doesn't seem to have the same appointment-booking chops that Exchange does. Exchange keeps track of the availability of all our employees, and of our meeting rooms, which is very helpful.

Return on Investment

  • I save hours of work when dealing with client information. It takes only a few documents for me to recover the cost of this software in time saved.

  • Exchange has a huge positive impact, I would imagine, on our business objectives. I don't know how much we pay for it, but it's difficult for me to imagine running our company efficiently and effectively without it.
