  • As mentioned earlier, transactional heavy web assets such as eStores are particularly strong candidates.
  • IBM CXA along with other, similar tools, is not set-and-forget. The solution must be well managed in order to deliver value. Purchase of the solution is one thing; driving analytic results is another. If a company's staff are not strong analytical thinkers, CXA will not help. IBM CXA is not just a technology platform - it is a basis to design strong customer touchpoints and interactions. You need to be customer journey design literate to get the best from this.

Very useful if you want to monitor multi-server complex architectures involving different technologies and IT teams. Very useful to proactively detect or prevent slowness on load increase.I think AppDynamics would be far less appropriate for small companies or "simple" software, or when you have to deal with it alone (without support for setup, learning, features activation and troubleshooting).

  • Tealeaf provides a unique view into a website beyond what typical web analytics can provide.
  • It captures all of a website's traffic, no need to tag pages or decide ahead of time what data you want to capture.
  • Data is captured and processed in real-time which reveal unknown issues as they are happening.
  • Replay session to see what a customer or user actually did and not just they remember doing when a problem occured.

  • AppDynamics community support is really strong so even if you are not premium member of its product. You can reach out to community regarding your issue and the resolution is quite strong.
  • Documentation maintained with each version support is quite good. So make sure if you looking for any kind of implementation do check the version as every new version they release new feature and fix the bugs of previous version.
  • Trial product is really good as they provide this option of running controller in the cloud without you getting your hands dirty with installation parts and checking the ports numbers that need to be opened for communication purpose.

  • IBM CXA leverages script tagging to inspect specific behaviour patterns. A tagging engine against your web assets is a must-have to simplify script insertion and avoid having to leverage internal IT resources to modify web code.
  • Tag management is perhaps the most challenging aspect of IBM CXA. In our view, this could be abstracted further and therefore simplified.
  • We would like to see connectors with UBX to common platforms such as CRM, marketing automation. The more this is readily available, the quicker the time to value for clients.

  • It's has two versions - the actual and lite. The lite version only shows data from last 2 hours. It is certainly not enough to monitor.
  • Some data gets lost on all functions.
  • Sometimes JVM errors and application error[s] show up - not sure why.

The comprehensive set of tools IBM Tealeaf provides is so unique to what it can do. It continually provides value beyond what it costs. It is like free money. There hasn't been a tool that has replace what it can do. Without it, people and teams managing their application or website would be much more difficult

Data dog, it's not an APM to me, yet. It's more like a Nagios or PRTG. And New Relic, it was good. Now it's poor in setup a .Net application. AppDynamics is simply perfect in setup, usage, tips, alarms. It's really what we needed for our environment. All in a single application, and, "fast".

  • It has had a positive impact at least from our initial use of it. It has been in service for about 6 months. We also have been able to monitor our networking and server resource clogs via AppDynamics and were able to request additional resources right away, saving us a lot of headaches. Generally AppDynamics has had a positive impact.
