Well suited for rapid development of applications and sites, ease of maintenance, security enhancements, and ease of patching. Drupal for global enterprise content strategy i.e. industrial robustness. DevOps is there but needs to be easier to integrate with other vendors. In my experience, Acquia Digital Experience Platform doesn't support well data-driven process definition, setup, and management from an application standpoint. In production, we expected the production environment to be separated from the non-production environnement, which was only possible at the logical level and not at the network level.

Your company has to have a lot of sales movement and sales requirements for a CRM solution to work and to work well. The company has to have a certain size of sales and clients since Salesforce is a costly solution that has to make sense as far as purchasing and expenses go. - Customer Relationship Management is made so much easier by using Salesforce. I love the ability to move between customer contacts easily and to chatter with my other teammates.
- It’s so beneficial to have more industry data and to store it in Salesforce. From comparing my customers, I can make better recommendations as to what practices will be most beneficial and productive for them to use.
- I love the integrations that I can use with Salesforce. It will document the communication I’ve had between customer contacts. It also documents tasks for me to complete regarding their implementations. I find it so easy to navigate to find good data.
- In Salesforce I can also see the files and contractual agreements customers signed, and I love that it’s easy to find in their profiles. It’s helpful because sometimes my coworkers do not add the files to the google drive folders we use for storing customer facility data, so this is a great backup resource.

- Using the platform is not for the faint of heart. It takes some understanding of how a back-end system technology works to be able to get anything done or even know where to go.
- Being able to verify DNS services is not easy to do. A digital market is required to do this with Facebook or Google from time to time but it is hidden from the non-tech user. I need to find a tech expert to do a simple task that is holding up the quality of our digital advertising. This is the way the digital world works and these capabilities need to be exposed and easy to verify by non-tech users quickly without the possibility of disrupting the system.

As a Drupal Web Developer, I have not encountered or been exposed to any other hosting solution that could surpass the benefits of having a site hosted on Acquia Cloud. Although, for any side-project or low-cost freelance gigs, I cannot expect that I'll always have the option of recommending Acquia Cloud, and that's okay. While I am at work and trying to help our team gain more exposure to my companies' extensive list of clients, when we have the fortune of adding another Drupal-based client to our roster, getting those clients on Acquia Cloud makes every other aspect of building or modifying their school website that much easier

It's super awkward if you aren't familiar with it. I have several years' experience in both my organization's salesforce as well as others and there are still things that trip me up. I think Salesforce can get to a point where it's TOO bloated with all this information, all these integrations, what-have-you, that it can be difficult to find what you need in a timely manner or it creates a hiccup in workflows that you then have to work around. On the other hand, once these issues are identified, there is the possibility to manipulate Salesforce into creating automated workarounds. So, at least it allows for that. I think it's an issue of having so many options for bolt-ons that you start to lose perspective and functionality. You tend to lose focus on usability for users.

I'm not sure - we have hired a person/team that are Salesforce Admin so when I have a question or need support I go in-house. But, I know Salesforce has incredible L+D and trainings available for free to help users develop in their skillsets.

Acquia [Digital Experience Platform]'s offering is much for extendable, flexible, and scalable. The security is far beyond WP and it is much easier to extend than Magento was. Being able to have access to all these tools at an enterprise level, but still have them remain open source is really a huge advantage in my mind.

We do not use any of the proprietary features from Acquia [Digital Experience Platform], like Site Factory, that enable this. (I am allergic to proprietary.) But Drupal is inherently scaleable via multisite, and things like Single Sign On via contrib modules.

- Since we are already a Salesforce shop, ROI is amazing since the CMS is already built into the platform. It frees up costs and resources that were spent on other CMS solutions.
- There will be some costs involved when converting content away from things like Sharepoint, but the end rewards of platform consolidation will outweigh those costs.
- Since it is already integrated into your Salesforce platform, support costs will go down and therefore have a positive ROI impact in that area.
