Acquisio

Acquisio is a really good platform to manage search and display campaigns, but it is probably not the best if you want to manage social advertising. If you are really savvy with reporting I would strongly recommend the use of Acquisio. You can make custom reports and send them automatically to your customers. That gives you more time to focus on optimization instead of reporting.

Outgrow is well suited for business owners, professionals, internet marketers and sales representatives. It offers a new and engaging approach to generate leads, increasing conversions and revenue. Outgrow is less appropriate for individuals and businesses which just want to have a simple (basic / minimal) lead capture form.

Pros

  • Reports: The report center platform is really well made, easy to use and to automate. It can be custom and it comes into multiple languages.
  • Support: The customer support is really quick and effective.
  • Budget management: Acquisio makes it easy to manage your monthly budget across multiple publishers.

  • Easy to use. The UX is super easy to understand and you can create a simple quiz in a matter of 10-15 mins.
  • Ease of implementation. There are various ways the quizes can be integrated into a site - embedded into a page, a popup, as a lint to a full page or even embedded into and email.
  • Email notifications to users and administrators are simple to configure

Cons

  • Support isn't horrible, but it could be better.
  • Report template creation could be a little easier. Right now, when you create a component, it goes to the bottom and you have to drag it up to where you want it to be. This feels inefficient.

  • I wish there was an option in the "share to social" to share to Pinterest. I have pin it buttons on my website but it would be nice if it were included with LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and one that I don't know (wk?).
  • I think outcomes should come before questions in build. But this is probably just personal preference.
  • I want to be able to prioritize outcomes. Outgrow was really helpful with guiding me through a work around for this so it's actually not a con anymore.

I think the platform, with the latest release updates has a lot of great potential. The main decision, currently, is price and how that gets passed on to our clients. There has to be a conscious decision made on platform cost vs client spend and overall budget vs revenue.

My experience with Acquisio is a tale of two situations. We had a customer service rep named Jeannie who was supernaturally gifted at anticipating and solving our issues. Her response time was so fast it felt like she was responding before I even hit SEND on our emails. Jeannie was deservedly promoted and support has been a little slower and we have had to make multiple requests to get answers since.
