Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud vs. OpsCompass

Overall we are happy with what Acronis is offering us, both as a use and a Value Add Resellers. The fact that there is one portal to onboard customers and select services is exactly what we were looking for. Now we are working on the Multi Tenant version, so we can also White Label Acronis towards our customerbase. We have not yet found any scenario's where Acronis can not offer any benefits. We do hear that the pricing for the storage is often to high versus competition. This applies to the Acronis data center storage, yet also the structure of Workload/per TB combination towards other Cloud vendors. (mainly the 3 largest Hyper Scalers) Compared to other Cloud storage solutions, these cost should be lower, so it will be easier to explain to customers to come and join Acronis in the cloud, instead of doing local back-ups or use solutions like DropBox, BackBlaze, PureStorage, Wasabo Hot Cloud Storage, Cloudian and more.

We previously had separate products to manage Azure and AWS, each with different capabilities, and it was very complex for our team to go back and forth and try to make sense of each environment. OpsCompass is very well suited to give you a single view of our entire cloud environment. OpsCompass also brings excellent compliance policies. We were not highly skilled with these policies, but the product made it easy to perform an assessment of our current state and identify areas where we had non-compliance issues. CIS policies were a great area to start and we later tried the Microsoft 365 policies, which were also helpful. More policies would be great to see.

• We would like a more robust remote control solution with more emphasis on unassisted system control and management
• When adding client systems, we have to be logged onto the console as the client, it would be nice to able to do that from the reseller account
• We wish the file sharing solution was less expensive or allowed for local storage and sharing

• I would like to see more integrations to help surface alerts. Slack would be great, as an example.
• An imbedded tour or onboarding would help our new users, but overall, the product is pretty easy to figure out

The Cyber Protect portal is very intuitive and easy to use for anyone with some knowledge of IT systems.

If an organization requires an all-in-one solution to manage both backup and security, Acronis is a better fit. Diverse IT Environment: If a business operates in a diverse IT environment that includes physical, virtual, and cloud components, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud's broad platform support makes it more suitable. Enhanced Cybersecurity: Organizations that prioritize advanced cybersecurity features and AI-driven threat detection capabilities might find Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud a more robust solution in this regard.

In this price range, we didn't find any other tools that provide this degree of cloud resource visibility. It's been an efficiency game-changer. I hope we'll see new modules as they expand their features to include active resource management policies. They've done such a good job of anticipating the needs of our CloudOps team, I plan to evaluate those new features (if/when they arrive).
