Likelihood to Recommend Act-On simplifies the creation of landing pages, web forms, email campaigns, and other types of marketing automation. Designing a customer journey using the workflow builder (a nurturing flow) is possible. It is used in various ways and in a variety of contexts. Tactical's knowledgeable support team helped us unlock Act-On's potential for complex integrations and marketing campaigns. In some areas, it would be beneficial to improve functionality.
Read full review Cvent Surveys is well suited for gathering post-event data from the audience. It has easy reporting and gives information from the audience that we would not normally have without speaking to each potential attendee separately. The program also allows us to collect data on flight information using sub questions for attendees.

Read full review Allows for the creation of chapters to easily manage different components of a survey that are targeted to specific individuals based on their program or contractual interaction with our company. The canned reports available from within Cvent have proven most useful. We feel Cvent put a lot of thought into the most common operational types of reports that would benefit organizations without the need for producing adhoc reporting to meet the needs of creating valuable metrics. The invitation process for uploading an invitation file is extremely easy. If automation is not feasible at the given time for the organization, having the ability to upload an invitation file and send out surveys is extremely intuitive and quick. Training videos within Cvent have proven most effective when trying to solve a survey design problem. The videos are easy to locate and are very informative addressing all aspects of survey creation and design. Templates from within Cvent are most useful. Though customization is great and part of Cvent, we have found from an IT perspective, that the numerous templates Cvent provides have alwayw proven to be the easiest way to get our requestors their Survey within a relatively quick turn-around time frame. Email confirmation requirement. We feel this requirement within Cvent to insure that emails are being sent from a valid email address is crucial for our business from a customer satisfaction perspective, allowing our customers to realize the human factor behind the survey and as well as the ability to respond to individuals who reply to the survey invitation. Configuration and design elements from both the survey and email perspective are both intuitive and quick to use. Cvent guides you through the design process from beginning to end. Testing capabilities are incredible allowing for comments back to the development team as well as ease of importing or creating quick add respondents for assisting with the testing process. Read full review Cons The designer tools, especially for emails, were often difficult to use. The formatting of the text would be all over the place and change / refuse to change at random. Moving boxes around was shifty and sometimes nearly impossible. It just wasn't customizeable enough. No "undo" functionality either. The only way to collect information expansively over time (there's a term Act-On uses for it, I can't recall) where it adds questions to the form each time a user fills it out, is if the person were to fill out the same form multiple times. I know this does happen for some websites/resources, but as a company that wanted to collect new information each time someone filled out any form, regardless of the resource or the URL, that was simply not an option, and that doesn't really make a lot of sense. I know it's not really possible to track someone but if they filled out the first part of the form and then it added new questions to answer, and then they submitted and got through the gating, that would actually be helpful. There was no "trash can" of sorts in case you deleted something by mistake. This could be so stress-inducing if it was a major project. My coworker did this once, contacted Act-On, they couldn't even recover it. Read full review It was a little tough to find the correct survey report to print. Maybe make them a sub category at the top that has the breakdown for each type of survey. Having the option to automatically pop up surveys after a session, but also allow people to click into too. My CEO wasn't too pleased with the addition of Cvent at first, but I definitely stuck up for our decision and it has paid off since
Read full review Usability It's good, but not quite brilliant. Some parts of the interface are still a bit outdated. The product has been evolving very fast, though, and I believe in a few months it will be up there with the best of them, interface wise as well.
Read full review This program is so versatile to be able to do whatever is needed. There isn't a time that I have built a survey that hasn't done exactly what is needed. No matter how complicated the questions are, the data that is put out is easy for leadership to read and understand. That is what is needed. They shouldn't have to go through complex data and spend a lot of time trying to analyze it.
Read full review Reliability and Availability I have always found them quick to respond to my query by web inquiry. In those instances when I call, I have always reached help quickly. They are conscientious and skilled in discussing my concern and finding a solution to my problem. Other tech organizations should use Act-On as a model for top-notch customer service.

Often we need to integrate with legacy systems and we find the support team on our side during the whole endeavor. Always asking if they can help us further, always willing to do a better job. The support of Act-On is one of the main differentiators
Read full review I have not needed to contact support before for this feature in Cvent. The support team for other features have been great though, so I will provide an answer for that. Cvent is on point with their customer care. They’re prompt and make sure the issue is fixed. They will also follow up with you to make sure everything is still working smoothly or if any additional help is needed

Read full review Online Training Act-On had a lot of resources, and their staff was great at answering any questions I had to make sure we got started on the right foot. Looking back, I would have preferred some additional training sessions since we didn't have any previous experience with Marketing Automation and best practices.

Pardot feel clunky every step of the way.
SharpSpring is comparable because of its price point but surpasses Act-On in its tools and intuitive interface. We selected Act-On because of the pricing model and thought all things would be close to parity with other options. It depends on the team you have. If you have developers and a marketing team that knows some html/css, you can get by with Act-On.
Read full review I think Cvent surveys feel more secure. It is also a program that we are likely using for the event or meeting already, so it's nice to just use the same program for both things. Cvent surveys are an additional expense which isn't always ideal and can be a hard sell in comparison to other programs or just utilizing email

This was a positive feature allowing employees to work on another project while the campaign ran on their own. Read full review Increased employee efficiency is a true statement for Cvent. It is efficient for both clients and sales representatives. It also has a faster lead conversion and notifies you as soon as a client has accepted a proposal.
