If you have an existing CRM system, like Microsoft 365, you can integrate campaign automation with Act-On, and then it is worth most of the time it takes to get less-experienced employees on-boarded. In other cases that require more minimal use, the on-boarding may be too lengthy. In that case, it may be better-suited to choose a different SaaS that tracks campaign, ROI, lead scoring, etc.

LeanData Demand Management

I would recommend getting LeanData for large organizations or those organizations that are growing quickly. I honestly can't think how our company would have been able to scale our routing of leads without the product. As previously stated, companies with a Sales team of one or two people wouldn't see much benefit from the lean routing module.

Pros

  • Digital marketing campaign integrations, like Google Adwords, email tracking, other tools that track audiences, and website integrations like WordPress or Square Space.
  • The customer support, from what I've heard, is very good.
  • Integrations with other CRM systems make this really easy to add to a company's workflow.

  • The lead routing module has saved me an immense amount of time in just a few short months we have been using the tool. I can easily investigate why a lead was routed a certain way, and instantly make changes to the routing logic if needed.
  • The LeanData team that helped us implement the product was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, anticipating potential problems before they could even happen.
  • The matching logic in the lead routing module is starting to pay dividends in helping us to clean up duplicate leads in an automated way.

It's good, but not quite brilliant. Some parts of the interface are still a bit outdated. The product has been evolving very fast, though, and I believe in a few months it will be up there with the best of them, interface wise as well.

Alternatives Considered

These other products do not hold a candle to all of the functionality of Act-On. Their technical support is slow and very impersonal. The ability to get adequate reporting, keep bounce rates low, and foster lead development are major benefits to the Act-On tool. Tool integration is easy and seamless, it does not require technical knowledge.
