Really like the appearance of reporting and the web booking.

Bizzabo

Bizzabo is great for very small businesses who produce basic events. If a company has a couple events a year and wants a professional interface, it’s a great option. It’s less appropriate for companies with more complex events or who want full customization abilities.

  • Easy to set up and manage events.
  • Great user experience making it fun to use the app throughout the event.
  • Attendees drive more value out of the event especially thanks to being able to easily follow up with other attendees.

Cons

  • I really like the look and feel of ActiveNet Reporting, but it isn't extremely customizable. Maybe there is something I am missing, but other employees have shared that same feedback.
  • It would be nice to have the system synchronize with other software we use. (EMS, StarRez, etc.) When planning conferences, we currently have hotel guests and registration that we would like to share information for through each system. Currently it is just double data entry.
  • Would like to be able to add more resources and details to a room booking and have the corresponding departments be notified of the order/track inventory.

  • The registration process as one of the event organizers through the app was a little bit confusing.

Alternatives Considered

I've not come across other things like ACTIVE Network. I was first introduced to it when I ran a half marathon that used ACTIVE Network to track participant progress. Since that time, I've used ACTIVE Network to read articles about training and running. It is a great tool for anyone interested in fitness.

Easier to use, easier to get started with smaller events and then scale

Return on Investment

  • Great user interface
  • Great features for participants and spectators
  • Great information for training athletes

  • Event ROI is hard to measure for events. Feedback from the attendees is crucial for understanding the perceived value they got from the event, and the higher the value the higher the return in terms of renewal chances and churn reduction. For us the increase of attendees mentioning how valuable the event was for them from a networking and knowledge sharing perspective was a strong signal for positive ROI, and we attribute much of that to Bizzabo.
