If you are wanting to use a lead magnet to capture emails for specific lists, and then send those lists into an automated funnel, then ActiveCampaign is the email platform that you want to use. While I'm sure the other features are great, all I needed was something that could do this for me and ActiveCampaign more than met my needs.

Vertical Response is a great tool for reaching out to customers en masse. The only time I don't use Vertical Response is when I am contacting one or two customers at a time. Otherwise, I almost exclusively use Vertical Response due to that fact I can track the efficacy of our marketing efforts

- Integration with Clickfunnels: I have Active Campaign integrated with Clickfunnels. I use it for website pop-ups as well as other lead gen purposes.
- Automated marketing: The visual automation creator is a game changer. It's helped me automate my marketing to new leads.

- The tools that they provide you with for building out emails are particularly easy to use. I love the drag and drop ability that gives anyone the opportunity to build professional looking emails without any extensive experience.
- With the majority of people checking emails on mobile, it is necessary to have highly responsive designs and this tool does all the work for you, no developer is needed and that is a MAJOR plus.

- It is difficult to re-send a single email in a sequence or newsletter to an individual. You have to create a custom group, then add just that email to the group before sending it out a second time. This could be easier!
- The workflow in creating an automation and the email sequence for that automation could be simpler or more intuitive. You can create the emails and then add them into the automation sequencing, or create the sequencing with placeholders for the emails, but you can't go from a sequence to creating an email easily.

- The type face is small. Not sure if this is to avoid overwhelming the reader, but I could see this being an issue with vision-impaired people or people who don't see small print well.
- Sometimes I find it takes multiple clicks to make one simple change. I wish there was a search field at the top of the screen that allowed me to jump directly to a client's entry to update it there.

Product is easy for both technical and non-technical people to use. A cost effective solution for sending out large number of messages. We can manage unsubscribes by individual accounts, so we can have multiple multiple accounts combined to maximize our buying power on credits. Effective API for sending/receiving data makes tool a valuable asset.

It's super easy and fast to set up automations and email lists. In under five minutes, you can be mailing your list. I'm not a fan of complexity, and I'm also not a fan of being hamstrung by weak tools, so I really like using ActiveCampaign. It's the perfect blend of simplicity and power.

I truly love this product. We are moving to an all-in-one system next year and my greatest fear in doing so is how much I will miss this platform. Although we are excited for things ahead, I will always keep Vertical Response in my back pocket incase I don't love the new platform as much

I've never had ActiveCampaign down for maintenance. I'm sure they update things, but they always seem to manage to stay live. Also, I've had very few errors, if any. None come to mind. This might be to due to the fact I focus on building things as simply as possible, but I also believe it's due to the quality of the software.

ActiveCampaign works seamlessly with the other tools I use. It integrates directly with most. And if no direct integration is available, there is almost always one you can make using Zapier. I've yet to run into a technical error that prevented me from doing something I wanted to be able to do.

At Vertical Response the help desk associates are courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they enjoy what they do. And clearly, they are well trained because most times, the first point of contact is able to resolve any issue you may have. We had a brief and very disappointing relationship with Infusionsoft a few years ago. They struggled in vain trying to get an API properly configured so that we could move data through one of our flagship web sites. After about half a dozen fruitless iterations, they gave up, we canceled our contract, and we went our separate ways. With ActiveCampaign, however, integration has never been a significant problem. Just being able to USE the software obviously makes a big difference! We've also been consistently pleased with the capabilities and support provided by ActiveCampaign. And it's much, much less expensive than Infusionsoft as well.

In addition to using Vertical Response personally I also manage email marketing for clients that already use Mailchimp, Robly and Constant Contact. While most of these platforms all offer similar features I choose Vertical Response first if the client does not have a platform in place. Typically I am also teaching the client how to use this tool and the Vertical Response visual interface is very easy for me to teach a client how to navigate and create their own campaigns.

I've tried several of the email services available today. ActiveCampaign makes it easy and fast to get set up. And they have some of the best email deliverability available today as well. That's really important when it comes to email marketing, because winding up in spam or promotion folders makes your email marketing efforts and uphill battle.
