Likelihood to Recommend There are not a lot of competitors to compare this product with, but ActiveDocs holds its own as a very useful software for the need. I recommend doing a demo to see how the process works, but it's rather streamlined and easy to create a template and produce a document from it.
Read full review I would recommend MasterControl Quality Excellence to anyone that is able to use it a get the services. It is an amazing tool for compliance keeping and also helps with the paper base people becoming more comfortable in using Mc with the real time.

Keeping all the binders up to date is a manual process and takes time, space and lots of duplication of paper. There is an electronic copy available to those who need it from any device in house. The most recent version is always available. MasterControl has security in place so those with a need to know have access to their documents, while blocking other departments from even seeing the content of others. All actions are recorded in an audit trail for users and documents. Document, Training and Quality modules all link together. A deviation will link to the document deviated against, which can create an action to edit the document or retrain selected staff on the documents contents. When you launch a task, go directly into that task collaboration instead of going back into the start task window Read full review Likelihood to Renew During the past five years, we expanded our business and its quality control, and we hadn't had any issues even when we grew the company's size around five times. The software has proved itself during these years, and now we rely on it heavily and don't think we need to switch to any other similar product in the near future.

HotDocs , the closest competitor, has similar end-user usability, but from a designer of templates perspective, ActiveDocs definitely has the edge in this regard. I would recommend this for any company that mass produces documents from templates as deliverables.

Read full review Performance The software overall is very excellent. It responds quickly and produces documents well. The integration with systems makes data input easy. Questions can be designed to allow further expansion of template creation/customization. The rules section is very useful for complicated If/Than/Else style templates. Although experience and training help, the software is very user-friendly out of the box.
Read full review Support Rating ActiveDocs can be a considerably complex product because your use cases can be potentially endless. In our experience, when we have come across a problem or issue with the product ActiveDoc's support has always responded to our queries within 24 hours. Support is only provided via email in 95% of cases. Each year your support and maintenance includes support hours. These are used when you contact support and your issue is not found to be a bug or problem with the product (completely fair and understandable). When we've identified or discovered bugs (mainly with the latest version of Word) it is patched by the next release. They typically release about 4-5 updates per year.
Read full review The Technical Support team has grown exponentially over the last couple years. Some front line support staff are new to the system and so know less than the clients do. Back line staff are more seasoned and provide immediate assistance to the front line staff. They have an extensive knowledge bank to assist them as well as client access to most KB articles. Annual user group conference gives us chance to meet the support staff an also to resolve any outstanding issues. Any critical vendor notices are emailed immediately when found and a patch offered at the same time. These are rare, but quickly resolved.
Read full review Alternatives Considered In relation to other software that have a functionality similar to ActiveDocs, they don't even compare in relation to the interface, I didn't use all the software available on the market, but the ones I used and I can compare, ActiveDocs is without a doubt the best among them. We really likes the interface.
Read full review I personally, did not select MasterControl Quality Excellence. There are a lot of features included those previously mentioned (as well as compare previous versions) that Veeva simply does better. But there are some hold back to my preference (as stated previously). Additionally, the signing off in collaboration of none leaders and none management and then once it's rejected not everyone sees that, is another hold backs.
