Acuity Scheduling

I honestly can't think of a situation where the system would be ill-suited to anyone. It's more appropriate for those who have more than one service to sell, I suppose. And it might not be as helpful when you're selling products (vs. services), so that would be one thing to improve.

Booker

The main questions I had was the ease of booking for customers and employees. The company had a great reputation and it was very easy to use! I don't recall a specific situation where it was causing problems aside from the "site down" moments which weren't that bad for a small business but potentially a problem with a spa with more flow.

Cons

  • Not the prettiest interface
  • I like the look and feel of Calendly better
  • Doesn’t feel as user intuitive, when a client cancels they should really be encouraged to reschedule

We like it so far but haven't had customers schedule yet so it needs to be proven in real time.

It's a pretty simple tool. You view a calendar. You determine if you can make an appointment or not. You schedule it. You show up. They do a good job making the application easy to use for both the user and the client. I can't really go much deeper other than that

It gets the job done but is overly detailed and has many steps to do a simple task. Reports are continuously being archived and discontinued. As soon as I get used to one it is no longer available

As far as I know, implementing Booker into our business was fairly easy.

Alternatives Considered

We also use Baritrax and CloudApp for scheduling tasks elsewhere. Acuity, despite its limitations, is much better. Again, I do not think we can scale across the organization with Acuity, but compared with the others, I would pick Acuity 9/10 times. The other tools are much more difficult for the end user and the content managers.

Booker is more designed for salons and is much easier to use and better for the clients

Return on Investment

  • Acuity Scheduling has allowed me to save time to book appointments with clients so that there is no need for back and forth emails, and all is automated.
  • Acuity Scheduling has allowed me to create new packages of sessions, and have the different offers all nicely lined up in my Acuity Scheduling shop.
  • Acuity Scheduling has allowed me to streamline my booking process, and include functionalities such as forms to fill in and submit before a call, email reminders, files attachments.

  • Booker has increased customer satisfaction as well the clients ease of booking.
  • The negative impact would be the cost is $75 a month which is a lot for a small business.
  • Booker has created much more organization within the company since we can follow sales of employees.
