Acuity Scheduling

I honestly can't think of a situation where the system would be ill-suited to anyone. It's more appropriate for those who have more than one service to sell, I suppose. And it might not be as helpful when you're selling products (vs. services), so that would be one thing to improve.

If you are setting 20+ appointments a week this is a must-have. If you are a small organization, you can probably get away with a free tool.

Pros

  • Acuity Scheduling gives me the ability to customize my client's view of my scheduling page.
  • Acuity Scheduling syncs with my Google calendar to block off times I'm unavailable and sends new appointments to my Google calendar, as well.
  • Acuity Scheduling gives my clients the option to pay for their sessions right there within the website.
  • Acuity Scheduling integrates with Squarespace, Facebook, and Instagram - all vital parts of my business and ministry.

  • Integrated with Gmail, Salesforce, FrontSpin
  • Can easily sent an invite while on a call through anyone of our tools
  • Can send hyperlinked times and a calendar link so prospects can quickly select a time that works best for everyone
  • Event reminders for when a prospect hasn't accepted an invite or for a meeting that was scheduled a way out.

Cons

  • Would like to be able to approve/decline an appointment after reviewing the form/application. Currently all appointments are immediately booked into my calendar. Would be a nice feature to be able to turn on for specific appointment types.

  • Would be nice to be able to modify the email reminders for every single contact and event versus have set templates
  • Would be nice be able to block off times so prospects don't select a "bad" time.

We like it so far but haven't had customers schedule yet so it needs to be proven in real time.

Usability

It's a pretty simple tool. You view a calendar. You determine if you can make an appointment or not. You schedule it. You show up. They do a good job making the application easy to use for both the user and the client. I can't really go much deeper other than that

Alternatives Considered

Acuity is by far more robust and I think it looks more sleek when embedded or even if you give someone the Acuity direct link

It's not even close. Chili Piper is way more robust and effective. The support time is world class and promptly fixes issues.
