Acuity Scheduling

It's great for letting you embed a form on your site and letting people sign up for slots with you.

Genbook

I really think that Genbook would be suited for any type of practice- the rates changed based on the number of users. We used it in a pretty small practice although I fell like it is a very scaleable program. It's a really valuable resource for a practice with multiple doctors/ multiple workers.

  • Online payments
  • Recurring Appointments

  • Schedule modification: any way you need to set up your schedule, Genbook allows for the best flexibility. You can customize it to your practice and then each individual practitioner.
  • Multiple users- this is really great because you can even pull reports on the entire practice or per each user.
  • Reminders- Appointment reminders.

Cons

  • Confusing backend for users who manage the appointments
  • Could have more direct integration. Currently integrates through Zapier.

We like it so far but haven't had customers schedule yet so it needs to be proven in real time.

It's a pretty simple tool. You view a calendar. You determine if you can make an appointment or not. You schedule it. You show up. They do a good job making the application easy to use for both the user and the client. I can't really go much deeper other than that

Alternatives Considered

We also use Baritrax and CloudApp for scheduling tasks elsewhere. Acuity, despite its limitations, is much better. Again, I do not think we can scale across the organization with Acuity, but compared with the others, I would pick Acuity 9/10 times. The other tools are much more difficult for the end user and the content managers.

AcuBase Pro is my practice management software. The only overlap for me is that they both function as customer databases. I would love to see integration between the software in the calendars.
