Pricing is always consumption-based with no five-year lock-ins or termination penalties.
The Acumatica ERP pricing structure allows adding casual users, suppliers, and customers without paying for additional licenses.
The cost is based on the features and resources utilized, not on the number of users who access the system. An Acumatica partner works with users to understand specific requirements, determine the proper resources and modules for the company, and presents a price for the license.
Acumatica pulls together the pieces that I used to have to build myself or use multiple systems to accomplish. Most recently having used Sage Quantum Accounting, I was struggling with needing to build many reports from scratch for reporting that I find Acumatica does with …
I don't have much experience with other CRMs besides Sage. This is the first cloud base software I have used which makes everything super convenient as it's all real-time data.
ADP had limited tools and couldn't manage a single payroll run with multiple pay periods. Paylocity solved that issue and eliminated our need for a 3rd party recognition platform
Had ADP when we started. It was brutally complex and time-consuming. I had to spend 3 days at a training seminar to learn how to use it. Paylocity solved all of that with an hour of training. No-brainer.
It is well suited because it appears to have been designed to work across multiple industries, and we've kind of seen that it works well for the construction industry. Still, we've been here at the Acumatica Summit and have seen a lot of other industries being able to use the same product, so they have designed it well.
When we initially conducted an RFP in changing payroll providers, Paylocity quickly rose to the top of our list. The offerings, service, and costs were the main drivers. We were nervous, as anyone would, with changing a payroll provider. The implementation could not have been any better. The alignment between the groups was strong, and continuous communication was seamless.
Banking reconciliation: Quick, easy to understand and easy to follow to see where you left off
Clearly displaying just enough data to answer questions without forcing us to work through copious amounts of detail or extracting data into other programs to get answers
Billing and payment receipt is particularly helpful in the way that the data transfers into the banking section and is exported
Customer service has dropped off in the last couple of years. It is rare to get a quick response, with a resolution. That said I believe Paylocity is still better than other HRIS systems I've had experience with.
Workflows & Documents, I'm sure there are processes, approvals and flows we could be utilizing more, but I do not find it easy to navigate. That may include an Offboarding flow. We currently use Onboarding, to do our Offboarding.
I would like to see a monthly or quarterly webinar for the function updates and changes.
I gave this 10 rating because Acumatica ERP is the backbone of the organization, next to the IT Team. We use this software for many different parts of our business. For example our Retail service stations that utilize the inventory, billing, and financials. Our Distribution company that uses it for Field services, CRM, Sales, Accounts and Financial consolidation of all company financials.
The primary reason AUSGGAR purchased Paylocity was for payroll/accounting/taxes and I think it does a great job on those functions. Paylocity is also solid with performance reviews. As far as the ATS, I like the screeners we are able to set up as that helps in qualifying or disqualifying candidates
I give it an 8 because it is very intuitive and easy to use for day to day work. I find it more difficult to create general inquiries and financial statements than it seems that it should be. It's not very intuitive in those areas.
I find Paylocity to be almost too robust so that its functionalities are sometimes too complex to use. Sometimes it appears that they don't get a user's experience and keep a software developers mindset which doesn't always work well with users that are not at their technical level of expertise. A perfect example is the way the payroll dashboard USED to look compared to the recent update
I can always call the direct number and there is a representative always available to answer questions. I can also email the service desk for Paylocity or my representative and they are pretty quick to respond if we are having issues
We had some minor hiccups throughout the year but they have all been fixable. Paylocity integrates well with our 401k provider, Principal, and our benefits, OneDigital. It makes it simple to house everything and have it all connected. It doesn't slow anything down to have Principal integrated. It makes it more efficient
We used Acumatica Support directly for the first year or so. Overall it's pretty good, but sometimes the support staff wasn't educated on the customizations we had, nor was I as the Customer as I couldn't remember which things were customized and which things were out of the box, so when there was an error, there were some misunderstandings.
Everyone wants immediate assistance. Awaiting a response from an email only to ask 2-3 more questions is time consuming. Within the first six months of setup, I would rather respond back to the instructors who provided me the training in each category of my contract.
I didn't have in-person training, but I'm sure it was just as great as any other training/assistance Paylocity provides. Paylocity customer service is always available. You never have to be on hold and their answers are always accurate and timely. Documents in the help section are helpful as well. My in-person training was conducted y one of our employees who was involved in the initial set-up and training of all employees. She was excellent.
The training was live online, but was with a group of other companies. We did not receive any personalized training with our team. Whenever we would ask for training, we would be sent a peak article link or a video. It felt like the reps we dealt with didn't know the answer to the questions.
I'd say the partner selection is critically important. I think the software is very easy to implement. It's very customizable to your business. Finding a partner that will work with you to understand your business and your needs is the critical piece to make sure that the system goes along with it.
We were handed off to multiple implementation people, some quit, one went on leave, one left suddenly, one was transfered to a diff dept...all causing a significant amount of disruption for our team. Many had conflicting info on how to properly set things up...hence a complete mess was left for us to figure out
Acumatica's sales process was much better than that of NetSuites. The NetAtWork team spent much more time with us and showed us how Acumatica really could do everything that we needed it to do, with examples using our data.
We feel we got all the features and functionality needed at a fair price. One HUGE determining factor was Paylocity's ability to interface with Employee Navigator in which we already used through our insurance broker. We also liked that the company was relatively local to where we are located.
From my understanding, the P.O. module is not very robust, at least the last time I inquired about it. At the time, it had a one-to-one match, with one invoice for one P.O. and that isn't practical for many businesses. I don't believe it would be an easy system to use for sending out invoices, if we had thousands of retail utility customers. We do a small number of invoices because we sell wholesale power, not retail, so we only Invoice the municipality. Not each utility customer.
Our main function for Paylocity is payroll, data insights for employee working hours and onboarding. This has been a very reliable source for us for these functions. Payroll has been extremely easy to do using Paylocity. The onboarding process is very simple for new hires and makes the process run smooth. It is easy to find the information you are looking for while on Paylocity.
They are very responsive and knowledgeable about the product. If the rep doesn't have the ability to solve the issue, they quickly get someone else involved to assist us.
Being able to have the employees update their own profiles is a time saver. Rather than the old days where employees had to turn in physical updates to HR and then HR had to update files. This puts the responsibility into the hands of the employees and saves so much HR time.
Onboarding is one of my favorite things about Paylocity. It saves a ton of paperwork and time. The Onboarding can be done by the employee at home before even starting on day 1 so that they can hit to door running rather than take a day to do paperwork.
