Acumbamail is a newer email marketing tool that has plenty of room to grow, but they are off to a fantastic start. Setting up my first email list was super easy and intuitive. Creating broadcasts is straightforward, as are landing pages. And the automation flows that are built in are incredible. The biggest downside is some of the documentation being in Spanish. It's easy enough to translate but still slows you down. That said, I'm really looking forward to growing with Acumbamail!
Social media and reviews are the best features. Once we integrated into Facebook and Instagram we were able to have a great look at everything. So far, I cannot say for the surveys as we are in the very early phases. Listings are perfect for when we are relocating a business. Reports are fantastic when reporting to my upper management.
The sentiment feature is just okay. It requires custom adjustments and time to understand where it is working well and where it is not in order to get the most out of it, while other features require very little user input.
Social listening needs work. I often receive notifications for unrelated terms because of their similarity in spelling to my organization's name, so I don't use this feature.
Birdeye could have more built-in features to create digital content from the reviews.
Birdeye could also have additional reputation tools to strengthen GMB listings and to combat negative press. Review listings and rich snippets in search are great, but having a tool that measures and helps to improve overall brand health/search results would be amazing. My CEO isn’t looking at what is going right. He looks at what is going wrong. We may have thousands of positive reviews on Google, but the bad article with false information is still showing up on page one of search results. That makes for an unhappy CEO.
Birdeye's dashboard is clean and user-friendly. Most of the functionality is easily understood, even for those who aren't necessarily technically inclined. Most issues come from the initial setup of individual locations, because there are a lot of fields to fill out and it can be easy to overlook some of them.
The customer support is usually very fast in getting someone connected with you to figure out a solution. Sometimes the communication following up on how they did can be a little much, but they are just practicing what they preach and doing what they know best. People are usually very friendly and knowledgable also.
Acumbamail is still in its infancy, so it's not fair to compare it to ConvertKit, which has been around for a while, but Acumbamail is very similar in its setup. In some ways, its automation look to be a lot more straightforward. I'm really hoping they'll be able to grow Acumbamail into a killer product!
We only utilized Birdeye as the reputation speaks for itself. I've heard of other products that are not as user friendly or streamlined. Good program that can be figured out with basic common sense, great tracking system of current reviews, auto replies, contact saver are all huge benefits to the Birdeye program
