Great for competitive reporting for SEM clients. I use it for all my monthly performance reports to pull out specific insights on how we compare to competitors on top keywords and categories and where we have room to improve. AdGooroo allows me to format really specific and impactful recommendations that impress the client.

Kenshoo Infinity Suite

Kenshoo would be a good tool if your client has extremely high budgets with low CPCs. For small, geo-specific accounts the capabilities have not be built out. Therefore, the tool could not budget pace our 250+ accounts. The main reason we had chosen Kenshoo was because of its budget pacing capabilities. Unfortunately, it did not save us time and created additional budget pacing issues with over pacing our accounts.

  • Track and monitor spend and performance against competitors.
  • Identify missed keyword opportunities.
  • Informs our campaign and keyword budgeting/bidding on a daily basis.

  • Kenshoo will provide monthly trainings. This will address current issues and training gaps. It takes place via webex.
  • Kenshoo has a support ticket center to answer support questions.
  • Kenshoo did come to our company to help us through the certification process.

Cons

  • I wish their graphs/infographics were more ready to use so I could quickly drop into presentations instead of having to format or re-do them myself.
  • Has a bit of a high learning curve.
  • There is a limit on the number of keywords you can upload. For large clients there shouldn't be a cap. I want to be able to upload all of my client's keywords.

  • Kenshoo could make more of an effort to offer strategic guidance for our specific account. It would be helpful to receive data analyses from Kenshoo-specific reports and account recommendations based off key learnings. I don't always have the bandwidth to do this myself. This is a weakness of the overall business and not the Kenshoo Search tool.
  • Kenshoo Search doesn't make adding ad group level negative keywords as easy as I'd like it to be. If you have lots of ad groups within your campaigns, this can be a tedious task.
  • Kenshoo Search can provide great campaign-level bid policies, but if you have many campaigns and need to make edits to your campaign-level policies, this can be a tedious task.

Kenshoo Search offers a fair rate based off of media spend. They also offer a dedicated account team that we are able to meet with regularly and also have quarterly strategic in-person meetings with. When problems or bugs occur, they are always quick to respond and resolve the situation. Their team is always willing to go above and beyond for our business needs.

Alternatives Considered

AdGooroo is preferable for search only clients. When it comes to mixed media campaigns, such as display and social, I definitely prefer to use ComScore. The platform is just more user friendly overall.

Kenshoo is a more effective and user friendly platform than most competitors. Their tool is more expensive and like I said before, tailored to larger marketing budgets. They set them self apart with the ease of use, the Kenshoo editor, and cross channel functionality. However, the cost and unwillingness to budge on a 12mo contract makes it a little more difficult to not look elsewhere

  • ROI is harder to track due to reporting/column & time frame default tech in my humble opinion but generally better results when compared to other products
  • Since the interface is difficult to navigate and paid search is a reactive medium, can produce barriers to change.
