Works fine for accounting but we've found workflow capabilities are limited for those who aren't using our accounting system. License seats need to be concurrent instead of user specific.

Pros

  • Simple and smart software helps in creating, editing as well as securing PDF files.This software has different features but the best among all which I like most is edit a PDF file .
  • Easily combine multiple PDF files in to one PDF file.
  • Good for both personal and business use.
  • Digital signatures feature of Adobe Acrobat DC greatly speeds up the teamwork.
  • It can save a lot of space on the computers because the pdf files are lighter than other types of files especially for use on the Web.

Cons

  • Some of Adobe Acrobat's features do not work on scanned PDF files. That makes them very difficult to edit.
  • Sometimes my browser will hang up when trying to open particularly large PDF files.
  • The download of this application is bit difficult as it takes some time to download.

  • It would be nice if we could automatically email invoices from KwikTag to responsible parties for approval.
  • Need to provide a web interface that doesn't use up a license seat so other members than KwikTag users can view documents that go with what's been charged to their budget.

Alternatives Considered

I don't feel that there are any comparable programs. Acrobat is in my opinion the industry standard.

We use Laserfiche for our legal and membership services departments. Laserfiche is a full blown workflow and document management system that runs on our own SQL server. Therefore we have much more control of how it's set up and we can customize it more easily.

  • KwikTag has taken a large burden off our AP staff.
  • Documents are readily available for retrieval without having to scan through directories full of files or boxes of paper.
