Likelihood to Recommend Our experience is when it is the busiest time of the month. We need to create and edit and upload all our pdf. With the create and merge and edit there are no problems but with the upload it is really difficult that time, but luckily there is a compressed PDf inside Adobe Acrobat and made us upload it with smaller size. So I think Adobe Acrobat is the best PDF editor out there.
Read full review Nothing we've come across is really better at estimating, projects, billing, and invoices. The way the system is set up is simply the best for keeping track of things. Large jobs can be really hard to handle on different platforms, and this is really a good system for people who are working with big numbers, lots of workers, etc. It has what you need. We have one job that is, in our files, pretty messy looking, because we used something else. Specifically I think if we'd had CF at that time, and did the whole process on CF, our documents would be better in order for that job. We haven't had a job like that since joining CF, but I am excited to see what that looks like when it comes time
Read full review Pros The edit PDF tool is a game changer for our business. There is no other tool that is as easy to use for small, quick PDF edits. Adobe Acrobat makes adding, deleting, and combining PDFs very simple and seamless. The comment tools, and the function to share for my comments with my colleagues, makes it easy to collaborate with my team on the same PDF document. Read full review Estimate templates for that allow line items a broader scope of an estimate template to be selected. Training with CF is outstanding. Live chat as well as countless videos. Talk to text is a great feature for adding notes to a project. Read full review Cons It would be good if Adobe Acrobat could utilize less system resources. I have had crashes due to memory and CPU load this week Quicker load times from a cold launch Easier collaborative commenting for offline documents - knowing where and who wrote what Ensuring documents don't have issues where text cannot be copied before publishing Read full review Security and sensitive file visibility. Users with no permissions can have access to some hidden files. Daily log navigation. Users now need to exit one log entirely to view or check another, resulting in a significant waste of time and reduced efficiency. Customization options for reports. No options to set up and automatically send reports by email to specified users. Read full review Likelihood to Renew I bought a perpetual license to Acrobat some time ago, but if the software ever stopped being supported in my version of windows or other solution that makes me need to buy another license I would not hesitate to do so since it saves me a lot of headaches. There are workarounds to merge files and edit pdfs with an online interface but I dont think those are a good usage of time when Acrobat exists.

Read full review Usability My overall experience with Adobe is great because because the it has almost all of the tools in one place and it can be used it for most of my work without going anywhere else. Because the tools are available right there in the main interface, it makes it very easy to use.
Read full review Mostly great, especially for the price. The features appear to have definitely been designed by a team with a depth of construction specific experience. I also highly rate the usability because of the vast vast amount of customizability inherent in the system. It appears that almost all forms and features are customabizable on the company level and even specific to different individual users.
Read full review Reliability and Availability The software is readily available and rarely has application errors.
Read full review Performance One of the best features of Adobe Acrobat is its speed and stability. When dealing with massive multi-page files, having to reload a crashed program over and over again would slow down progress unnecessarily. And expanding on that, having the table of contents generated allows me to skip to different pages with ease, a necessary feature with exceptionally long files. word searches are even more helpful with text recognition.

Read full review I rarely give anyone a 9 or 10 rating for service. The main reason for this rating is Contractor Foreman's dedication to improvement. To be completely frank, CF has fallen down on their tech help with me several times, but I am an exceptionally difficult user to service as I tend to use a product up to it's limits and want more. CF has actually addressed these wants several times (after waits that seemed interminable, but were actually pretty damn fast in the reality of software development)

Read full review Implementation Rating Works well with JamF and SmartDeploy. These are our Enterprise imaging solutions for Mac's and PC's. The Enterprise installer is required when pushing out this app.
Read full review Alternatives Considered There really is no comparison. Although we use other PDF programs, we mainly utilize Adobe. Not only because we find it to be a better program but also because everyone is more familiar with it. However, the other products are implemented for various reasons, such as a feature or 2 that we find necessary to use at times.

Buildertrend and Conconstruct near daily for a little over 10 years. They were both pretty solid. But the price kept going up without much value being added to the software. As they grew, they didn't upgrade with the growth, so the sites became slower. Contractor Forman has all the functionality of the others, and several other tools that they don't. There are several tools our company doesn't even use yet that look great. It's not perfect, and the learning curve due to its increased capability is a bit of a challenge. But overall, it is superior in every way that mattered to us, and more affordable.
Read full review Contract Terms and Pricing Model The only thing I can think of that may be helpful would be a more flexible tiered pricing options based on usage or document volume.
Read full review Scalability I find that many users aren't aware of many features of the software they use, nor may they be comfortable with learning multiple-step processes. For the simplest of PDF purposes (scanning, downloading, exporting), it gets a thumbs-up. For anything involving electronic signatures, meh--causes eyes to glaze over, or forgetting what all is involved.
