I think it is good to keep in mind the type of business application you have in mind when selecting Media Optimizer for your company. For us, as an agency, it makes sense for us to utilize the reporting and paid search optimizing portions for our clients as we manage over 300+ clients PPC campaigns. With this tool it is possible to set up campaigns easily and as long as the parameters are set correctly within the portfolio, there is a great opportunity for the tool to do its job and use the simulation/modeling process to run and grow a paid search campaign with ease of human interaction.

I am not an HPE person, but I can see why they bought out Nimble. I think they have a better interface than DELL EMC Compellent. They are an enterprise appliance, but I dont think I would have them if we were lets say 5x larger company. Then you would need something like EMC datadomain

- The Smart Contact App for browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and within GMail and 365 Outlook. This enables you to add people to your Nimble database from say, LinkedIn. While it does so, it "automatically" builds their profile by retrieving information about their other online profiles in Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. When the person is in a larger business it enables you to find contact information like emails and phone numbers (it gives a confidence rating). This feature is where a lot of my time saving comes from.
- The Group Messaging feature enables you to select a segment of your database based on tags and other filters, and send a personalized message to that group (much like a simple MailChimp). It provides you with open rates, click-through rates, and fail rates. This is awesome for improving engagement rates with your emails because it enables you to send more relevant communications to an audience you know is more likely to respond to it. Also, it makes it easy for you to follow-up.
- The search feature is another great tool for users. It is very simple to use. Not only does it enable you to search on standard and customized fields (did I mention you can add 5 tabs with 200 customized fields per tab!), it also enables you to base a search on customized 'tags" and on some social media profile data such as "Influenced Groups".
- You can save searches for reuse, which is great for your segment communications.
- The sales pipeline enables you to establish multiple pipelines. This enables you to manage prospects from different channels through different pipelines e.g. tradeshow leads and website leads. You set-up customized pipeline stages.
- You can also use the multiple pipelines to manage projects. For example, I use Nimble to manage contacts I make in relation to being a guest on a podcast or webinar, workshops, or speaking opportunities. It is not a full project management tool, but for simple projects, it is excellent to ensure the takes are done and people contacted.

- As with most Adobe products, it can be a little tedious to use and requires a bit of extra training and "googling" around to make sure you are getting things right. It has improved over time within the entire Adobe suite, and I anticipate that this will be true of this as well.
- Adobe training and learning platforms can include a lot of technical terminology and jargon that makes it difficult for a novice to understand without feeling like they need a whole new education.

- The only area that has been a piece lacking was with more integrations with other cloud-based applications like Constant Contact, QuickBooks online, and more. As of a few weeks ago, this entire missing piece was remedied by having PieSync become a major addition to Nimble as an add-on application that handles all of the two-way syncing we were looking for. More integrations as being added within PieSync every week.

As of this writing, we have just discontinued our use of Adobe Media Optimizer. Other vendors gave us a better rate, a better contract option, and the product is just better than what we had with Adobe at the time. We may revisit Adobe again at the future, but it seems like they have a lot of work to do to catch up with the leader in the space

It's truly a great system if you get it for the right reasons. Don't expect it to do everything a mid market organization would require but for any small business or mid to large organizations which would like to integrate to it for the social insights capabilities this is a leading solution which can add value immediately

It definitely takes some instruction to get to be able to use the system. One would struggle trying to get it to work without any previous experience with it. If you are famailiar with the interface it is actually quite fast and easy to maneuver around.

It's so easy to pick up and start using. Minimized app switching. Lots of mobile capability which is hard for heavy CRMs. It's not heavy, it isn't built for managers. It's built so end users can pick it up and use extremely quickly and start building and deepening relationships without a lot of learning curve.

They are super knowledgable and help in almost all situations, however sometimes I feel they put you on hold to find the answers themselves as they literally have said. "Can you hold a few minutes while I research that answer for you?" Most of the time they come back with a solution, other times they manually escalate it to someone else.

Nimble support is basically non-existent. if you do you get hold of a customer support rep, they have canned responses and end with "Well I will mention this to the developers and see if we can add it to our roadmap."

An issue I touched on is how out of control budgeting is with Adobe Media Optimizer, recommending a budget of 30% just in one keyword is when I realized that something was amiss with how Adobe Media Optimizer tracks budgets and keywords. This issue not the case with Google Marketing Platform where the ads are rarely recommended to be high budgets. Of course Adobe Media Optimizer is much more suited to business that are in various platforms and while Google Marketing does support quite a few engines there are a few essentials that Adobe Media Optimizer still has.

We checked out Hubspot CRM. You get a lot for free from them but it seems that to get the functions contained in Nimble you'd have to spend 2X per user to get the sales pro. To get the marketing aspects you'd really need the HS marketing package which is far more expensive than Mailchimp. Yes the functionality of their marketing system is vastly superior to Mailchimp but for a startup it's served us well. We also liked Contactually as it offered very similar features but it came at a price point at 2-3X and seems really focused to the real estate market. Additionally, the integrations are not as numerous
