Pros

  • Adobe Analytics is a popular tool and seamless connections to popular analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Adobe Analytics internal reporting tool is top notch.
  • Adobe Analytics has always provided us really strong customer support.

  • Great support and fast response from their support team. Anytime I have a question, they always go above and beyond and make sure everything is taken care of.
  • Platform is easy to use once familiar with it. A lot of functions that we can play with.
  • Autobots are awesome to tell us who our emails and website are engaging.

Cons

  • Because it is a web interface, sometimes it's just slow. This could be on the user's side, or on Adobe's side, but it does get annoying when reports or dashboards take a long time to load.
  • A lot of the things I use AA for I learned myself as it was pretty intuitive, but there are many other features that I didn't really understand what they were for or how to utilize them.
Albert Ihm profile photo
  • Some difficulty navigating through the templates and in and out of certain paths.
  • There is a peering that happens that connects with Salesforce and if your password automatically changes in Salesforce it shuts down your automation since it is logged into Salesforce. This could interfere with campaigns, but they have been very on top of changes like these.

We've found multiple uses for Adobe Analytics in our organization. Each department analyzes the data they need and creates actionables based off of that data. For E-Commerce, we're constantly using data to analyze user engagement, website performance and evaluate ROI.

Usability

I use Ad Hoc and Omniture. If I had to compare the two (which I have throughout the review), I would have to give AA an overall 9. We do not pay for "Adobe Workspace" and have limited seats available for Ad Hoc. I've experienced frustration with creating reports in Omniture and waiting for the page to reload.

For the most part, Adobe SiteCatalyst reports work ok, but there are cases in which reports take a long time to return. These cases are usually when too much data has been stored in Conversion Variables (eVars).

Support

Adobe Analytics5.7
Based on 9 answers
I give the rating of a 4 just because it seems more like a process that is failing. Any time I have put a request in, they have taken days, sometimes weeks, to get back to me and even then, the issue may still persist. I believe this is the biggest weakness of the Adobe Analytics tool and has a lot of room for improvement.

Ehsan has provided incredible training, making sure my team understood the application. And if at any point you have questions, or need help, they're immediately available. It's like having fractional marketing FTE's on call.

In-Person Training

Adobe Analytics3.6
Based on 3 answers
Myself and others have found the in-person training ok, but not outstanding. Trainers are good at explaining how to use the product features, but sometimes lack "real-world" experience on how to use the product as they are people who have often not previously been web analysts. There is also a shortcoming in company-provided training on advanced uses of the product. The implementation training is very good.

Online Training

Adobe Analytics8.0
Based on 4 answers
The online training for Adobe SiteCatalyst consists of short product videos. These are ok, but only go so far. For a while Adobe charged a fee for this, but recently made these available for free. There are many great blog posts that help users learn how to apply the product as well.

Make sure you use a Tag Management System. Enterprise TMS solutions used to be very pricey but Adobe now offers DTM (previously Satellite) for free.

Alternatives Considered

I believe that Adobe Analytics really stands alone at the top of the reporting and analytics industry. They have a desire to be the best and are continually working to provide a more enhanced and real-time data analytics world that a lot of other reporting tools are lagging.

Very similar product but Makesbridge has better support and an easier interface

Return on Investment

  • I would say it has allowed the main users to be more efficient in their day to day roles simply because they can set custom dashboards or schedule reports to run automatically on the frequency they desire which is a huge plus.
  • The tool has allowed other departments of the business to be able to start seeing their data housed in a centralized location as other departments to allow them more insight to consumer behavior in a quick glance.
Nathan Normand profile photo
  • Good customer service and allows us to use our leads without much restriction.
  • Price still considered quite high for a very small business like us.
