Adobe Analytics
[Adobe Analytics] is best suited for digital analytics like web analytics and customer journey. It can handle a tremendous amount of data and the beauty of being online it will work faster than any other web analytics tool. Dashboards and reports are super easy to create with the drag and drop functionality.

It doesn't replace traditional analytics tools like Google Analytics, but works best alongside them. Google Analytics is ideal for number crunching and stats, but it can't tell you why the stats are they way they are. DI helps answer those questions, it does things that Google can't do - showing information about clicks or scrolling on a specific page, and showing how much each page element contributes to your bottom line. The user playback tool is very very useful. In combination with the interaction maps, it's a great way to highlight key site issues quickly, and develop strategies of dealing with them.

Adobe Analytics
- Adobe Analytics makes it very easy for anyone to quickly get in and get the information that they are looking for and pull a report if necessary.
- Adobe Analytics allows us to tag thousands of events that we want to track and then see the data that is tracked based on these events. The set up is lengthy, but incredibly worth it once completed.
- The audience segmentation tools in Adobe Analytics are great. We are able to get an incredibly detailed view of our customers and how they interact with our brand across our many channels.

- Easy and intuitive. The interface isn't overly complex.
- Information is presented clearly.
- Easy to find the information I'm looking for. Again, this is due to the simplicity.
- The user playback tool is very powerful. It's like a video recording of where the client goes throughout the site.

Adobe Analytics
- Good array of visualization options but can have more customization for some common use cases
- The log in process takes too much time sometimes and has scope for improvement
- The behavior flow report needs to be in a more readable format and should have some more options to customize

- Being able to create groups of segments would be useful.
- The interface for selecting page types needs more options, it can be difficult to use if you have lots of similar pages.
- Would be good if top level stats were presented in different ways, or in a more visual way (ie pie charts, graphs).
- Generating reports - it would be nice if I could export charts and graphs instead of just CSV files.

We've found multiple uses for Adobe Analytics in our organization. Each department analyzes the data they need and creates actionables based off of that data. For E-Commerce, we're constantly using data to analyze user engagement, website performance and evaluate ROI.

I've heard about some new features that are coming online soon to do with tracking forms. They also offer a lead tracking package that we haven't tried yet, but I'm keen to check out.

I am relatively new to Adobe Analytics (less than 1 year of use), and it has been a short period for ramp-up. The most complicated part is on the business side - understanding how my company has set up the deployments and figuring out how each sites differ in what is being measured.

Adobe SiteCatalyst has a good up-time track record, but there are cases in which the interface reports a "Network Acceleration" issue, which can be frustrating. There are also times when data can be "latent" for customers, but most of these cases are due to spikes in traffic or temporary server issues.

I give the rating of a 4 just because it seems more like a process that is failing. Any time I have put a request in, they have taken days, sometimes weeks, to get back to me and even then, the issue may still persist. I believe this is the biggest weakness of the Adobe Analytics tool and has a lot of room for improvement.

It was a one-day training several years ago that cost the organization several thousand dollars. There were only about 10 people in the training class. Adobe tried to cram so much information into that one-day class that none of our users felt like they really learned anything helpful from the experience. Follow-up training is too expensive

The online training for Adobe SiteCatalyst consists of short product videos. These are ok, but only go so far. For a while Adobe charged a fee for this, but recently made these available for free. There are many great blog posts that help users learn how to apply the product as well.

I can't say that the implementation of this product went much different than the implementation of just about any other product within the cloud. Granted there were times that things crawled to a slower pace because of the program, knowledge of the program, and connectivity. But these are all issues that one would expect when rolling out a release of a new cloud-based product.

Alternatives Considered
Adobe Analytics
While both platforms are powerful, the biggest differences that impact me in comparison are: Adobe Analytics is less user-friendly (has a steeper learning curve and requires more ongoing research), and it is much more expensive than Google Analytics (which is free). But one area where I prefer Adobe Analytics is in customer support, though that feature is lacking as support can be slow to respond.

Doesn't replace Google Analytics, but serves as a complement to them. Does things that Google cannot do. Other products are quite narrow in scope - they only do one kind of heatmap, or only track visitors. DI is more fully featured as a suite of tools.

- The ability to segment, classify data coming from different sources for making decisions that are not driven by just your marketing intuition but concrete insights.
- I can aggregated statistics on an almost endless number of variables while still being able to dive deep and isolate individual pieces of content that may or may not be helping the webpage's overall statistics.
