Smaller less technically staffed companies should avoid it. For mid-size companies with a serious need for a email solution, it might be worth considering if the staff involved in using the product isn't afraid of technically looking stuff. The staff that runs the servers (if it's on-premises deployment) needs to be fairly technical, and willing to dig into issues and errors that will arise.

From experience, you may ask the Conversocial team to make recommendations on licenses for larger vs. smaller social customer service teams. The need for support and the amount of usage you may get from the tool's robust offering may differ as a result of those precedents. The tool is adaptable in both scenarios it would seem.

Despite the shortcomings of user interface and basic troubleshooting difficulty, Neolane is much more robust and delivers better capabilities to our sales and marketing staffs than any other product we have used here or any product our staff members have used at other locations.

Because of the number of features it offers and the manner in which they're presented. I've explored a number of other tools that just don't do it as well. When sorting through and responding to hundreds of social media messages each day, the number of clicks it takes to do something really matters. Conversocial does a great job of minimizing clicks and presenting the data we need without having to click to find it

I would say that generally the knowledge of the support team we work with is good, great even.I can't say that they seem to be very interested or involved in trying to make the product work best for us.They do what needs to be done, and they do it well - but not really going the extra mile.

Alternatives Considered

Look, Adobe Campaign is the best program to use for your online media marketing. Adobe understands what online marketers and social media strategists need, and deliver the proper tools necessary for them to be successful. I swear by Adobe, they've earned my trust and I will continue to use their programs throughout my career. Everything else is just...noise. Until I find a program with better customer service than Adobe, I will always be a fanboy.

I have also used Radian6 and Hootsuite. I did not like that you we're unable to archive in Hootsuite and could not see previous conversations. Hootsuite also had way too many columns that you could create and it was very disorganized in my opinion. Radian6 is a great tool but has way too many details. It is also a pain to delete anything within Radian6 and you have to create a specific stack just to delete. This is crazy to me there should be a delete option close by since there is bound to be a time or two that a CM post needs to be removed ASAP. I also do not like the previous conversations option in Radian6 as it does not pull in all previous responses and I have yet to see it actually work correctly.

Return on Investment

  • It's driven up our sales/clicks 100%. Now that we're able to target our audience and what drives them, we're able to determine what the best course of action is with our online marketing campaigns.
  • I really wouldn't say there's much of a negative connotation, except for the fact that everything is updated via Adobe Cloud, so it can get kind of pricey if you're a smaller agency – either yearly subscription, or a monthly fee.

  • Conversocial was used to improve communication for customer service related inquiries on social media. Since I was using the product on behalf of another business, I don't know the ROI.
