Adobe Campaign

Adobe Campaign is well suited for enterprise-level marketing communications. It can manage and deploy large volumes of emails very efficiently. Workflows can allow multiple touches, staggered sends, and segmentation to occur all within one delivery if needed. Interactions and reporting can happen in real time or near real time if needed. When integrated with the rest of the Marketing Cloud, Campaign becomes even more powerful as platforms like Analytics and AEM can have functionality brought directly into Campaign for more effective content creation and reporting.

Engagio

Engagio is best for companies that have longer sales cycles that deal with very large accounts entailing multiple decision makers. In these cases, it really shows value for the end user by letting you see what everyone at those accounts is interacting with to help you better tailor your campaigns. I don't believe that Engagio would be a rational choice for those with very quick sales cycles or companies with bad data.

  • It helps simplify our email marketing fundraising efforts, helping to build detailed and functional email campaigns.
  • It consolidates our performance data and analyzes all of our campaigns
  • It has great personalization tools to create custom and creative campaigns

  • Personally, the best part about Engagio is the lead-to-account matching it provides. Engagio identifies which of the accounts in your Salesforce a lead would belong to if it were a contact, and then it lets you either auto-convert or write account-level data to the lead (like account owner or number of open opportunities). This opens up a wealth of possibilities in our MAP, as well as makes reporting a lot easier.
  • Something else that's been surprising to me was the rate of sales adoption. Our sales team loves the views Engagio provides into how their accounts are engaging with our marketing content, website, and so on. It's great when you get a tool like this and don't then need to sell it internally.
  • As a fairly new product, Engagio is still changing a lot, and I've been very impressed by how quickly the development team can receive feedback, turn around, and make changes to the product. I've had feature requests implemented in a matter of hours.

  • If you are not used to using Adobe products they can be a bit complicated to navigate and learn
  • There are too many tools and options to learn, takes time.

I would say that generally the knowledge of the support team we work with is good, great even.I can't say that they seem to be very interested or involved in trying to make the product work best for us.They do what needs to be done, and they do it well - but not really going the extra mile.

Alternatives Considered

MailChimp is more user-friendly, is a bit easier to use, and is a more affordable product in comparison to Adobe. However, with Adobe Campaign one can produce more professional looking products since it tends to be used by more advanced users. Also, the analytics on Adobe is more in-depth and gives more data than MailChimp.
