If you are a large retailer or a B2C company with a large marketing team, Adobe Campaign offers a huge opportunity to customize your instance and your campaigns to meet any business requirements. This software is less suited to smaller companies or companies with smaller marketing teams that send straightforward communications that don't need a lot of customization. To utilize Adobe Campaign to it's fullest the application requires experienced developers and can be hard for new users to learn.

I definitely would not recommend paying for Pro until you've test driven Standard's features for a few weeks and ensured it will both fit your needs, and perform reliably enough for your business. If you are a moderately sized business whose social media presence is a key component of your success, the net time and energy you save by using Hootsuite Pro may make it a worthwhile investment, even given its unreliability. I'm not entirely clear on all the variables at play when Hootsuite breaks, so it may be that your particular configuration is less troublesome than ours. Testing in Standard mode for a while is a great way to ascertain this yourself without incurring any expense.

  • Opens and URL tracking. This is a built-in feature that provides useful insights into the effectiveness of emails.
  • Email design flexibility. It is very easy and quick to create an email campaign from scratch and send to a list of recipients.
  • Designing workflows to segment your recipient population. With sufficient data loaded into a data model, it is quite simple to use the targeting and workflows to filter for specific recipients to which you wish to deliver a message to.

  • Scheduling posts is quick and easy once you get the hang of it.
  • I love being able to create different streams of content to monitor, this feature of the dashboard is great for keeping an eye on multiple campaigns and types of accounts at once.

  • When I first began using Hotsuite Pro, the allowed social accounts were unlimited. As their offerings increased, the number of social accounts available to Pro account users dropped to 50. Granted, 50 social networks is more than sufficient for most small companies the number is too small for companies managing multiple brands with multiple profiles. It's perfectly acceptable to offer a package with a 50 profile allotment- most social management tools have limits also. However, those that signed up for the Pro account with unlimited profiles felt a sting when the number was dropped, without warning, to 50. As for us, managing six brands, each with multiple social profiles, and a few of those brands have multiple profiles on the same network to address customer service, sales, and/or vetch. support. For a time, we thought we would need to purchase add-ons to meet our needs. While we love the services, technically the service offers less that what it did when I signed up.
  • Hootsuite Pro only offers one advanced analytics report each month. You can purchase additional reports or build custom reports. However, what's offered isn't sufficient for the allowed social profiles. The analytic capabilities exist in Hootsuite, but the Pro package doesn't offer enough reports to handle extensive analytic reporting needed for future planning. Yes, these are available as add-ons- but the Pro package will never be a stand alone social media marketing tool until more reports are available.
  • In the past, Hootsuite Pro included Linked In Company Pages, and groups as well as individual profiles. Pages and groups are no longer included so.
  • LinkedIn is not covered as well as it once was.

Once you go for Neolane you are a bit stuck with it, so we will most likely stay with Neolane. Cost of investment and training are the main factors at work here. We havesimply have invested too much in the product to stop using it after 2 years.That said, my score of 8 does not imply that the product is worthy of getting an 8 but reflects our willingness to renew.Given that upgrading to a new version will cost again a substantial sum, we most likely will keep using the current version we are on which is 6X.

We used Sysomos for a year and found the product didn't fit our needs as well as Hootsuite. Additionally we did not see Sysomos grow in that time or provide good customer service. Hootsuite has exceeded our expectations in those two areas. We have recently added UberVu to our account which will compliment the other functions of Hootsuite

  • We lowered our overall cost of routing emails, we are now using our own servers with a flat-fee cost for the connection. However against substantial initial investment - cost of deployment and training of staff.
  • Our turnover in email increased by a bit, due to the fact we can route more - and a bit better targeted
  • Employment efficiency went down. Unlike Experian we have now full time 2 people providing technical support. The Client software is slower than the Experian web interface and overall action takes more time. However this is on the shoot-per shoot basis. For the more permanent campaigns the customizability of Neolane is absolutely better (read good)
