Relias Learning Management System

Good for an organization who are in health care and in ABA. Not so good everyone else. There are courses specific to the industry, however, the glitches and the lack of support from the customer service staff makes it hard to recommend the product.

Pros

  • In under two hours, I had set up Captivate Prime. I had no issues.
  • The menus and alternatives are straightforward and look current.

Cons

  • The administration is somewhat costly as it depends on the quantity of clients and does exclude a level expense for a set number as given by different administrations

  • The setup procedure was long and somewhat dreary, however it was fundamental, they assisted with all the preparation.

  • The tracking of training is really difficult. When an employee has completed training, it is really difficult to navigate to find just the completed training. You have to pull up all training the staff is enrolled in to see which ones are completed and which ones aren't.
  • If staff is enrolled in two training series and there is the same course that is part of both series, the system doesn't detect duplication training automatically and the staff is required to take the same training twice.
  • There are a lot of glitches when completing training and staff members are continuously being kicked out of the training. Additionally, if kicked out, the training does not save staff members have to restart from the beginning.
  • It is difficult to get to the support department and to solve issues. They promise the system is going through an update but the pieces of training continue to freeze or not start at all.
  • On one occasion, an employee completed the entire RBT series yet some of the courses were still showing as incomplete. We had to re-train and repay the staff for the training in order to generate the completion certificate for the BaCB board. There was no way around it but for the staff to take the 12 hours of training that he had already completed and for the organization to pick up the training cost.

RMLS have become an important component of our agency's support systems. It provides consistent context for education and trainings as well as being flexible to allow staff to access it on their time. We have found many of the content sessions to be very useful for staff development and supportive of our overall agency goals and strategies.

Captivate Prime is more strong than PowerPoint and has a bigger number of assets accessible than Storyline. The client network for Captivate Prime is doing some inventive and exceptional things.
