Unfortunately, I think even if you ask all the appropriate questions during the selection process, you could still pick Adobe Connect over another product. I think that it's appropriate for our situation, but it lacks reliability and communication with its users. We never know of new changes coming up and when a problem occurs, Adobe Connect is not helpful in resolving the issue. It usually comes back as a user error issue, when that is definitely not the case in most instances. I think the software itself is appropriate as a simple Web conference platform to use if you want multiple speakers to be able to control the same presentation. It also provides pretty good reporting post-web conference. I think if you also want it as a "one stop shop" for invitations and reporting that way, it would work. Unfortunately, we use a separate system for that process, which doesn't always integrate correctly. Our attorneys like it because it's easy to use on their end as presenters, but I find as the host doing most of the set up and administrative duties, it's not the easiest software to use.

ClickWebinar

ClickWebinar is great for large meetings with only one or two presenters. If you're planning a collaborative meeting with a smaller group, use another platform that will allow you to all participate via audio/visual. ClickMeeting allows 150+ participants via chat only, so it's best use is for training.

Cons

  • ClickWebinar is glitchy. We've run into a lot of issues with freezing, lack of audio/visual, participants unable to join, etc., even when our internet connections are good and functional otherwise
  • ClickWebinar can be expensive. There are a LOT of options for customization - which is great - but it feels like a lot of little things are, cost-wise, large upgrades

I believe it to offer a wide all the features that an organization needs to track and manage in regards organizational training and education. It also has the right features that support instructional design and instructional strategies. Through good design, the rich interactive features (video/audio/chat) improve the student and employee learning experience considerably.

The ability to have most of the functionality of a full LMS at a fraction of the cost is huge. I can create manage and deploy both synchronous and asynchronous training based on the situation and all of my training is tracked through a series of easily created reports

We use both and I personaly feel Adobe might take over in the medium term since it has a more complete package and it is cheaper.

We selected ClickWebinar based on price, ease of access, and number of participants allowed. Zoom and GoToMeeting were both somewhat comparable in price, although slightly more expensive than ClickWebinar. The main issue with Zoom and GoToMeeting for us was that it required the participants to download something in order to attend, which can deter users in our target demographic. Google Hangouts does not require downloads, but it only allowed 10-15 people per meeting, which meant we couldn't onboard as many people at once.

  • ClickWebinar has allowed us to onboard/train hundreds more customers/clients per week to use our platform than we used to be able to, which in turn has brought us more revenue.
  • ClickWebinar has been somewhat costly and glitchy, but overall is the best webinar platform that we can find for the price.
