If communicating with 30-90 agents in the virtual world, Adobe Connect definitely allows for the communication in a simplified environment. For example, f you have 30 agents taking calls, this program offers a way for agents to communicate. If questions are needed answered, the hosts have the ability to pose those questions and get answers from the group. In a smaller group, this may be a bit of overkill and may not be needed. Large groups of 75-100 would create and environment that is less appropriate as there are to many people asking questions and not receiving answers. This amount of people in one room may get lost in the confusion.

If you are looking to log calls to your CRM, check out Jive Hosted VoIP. If SMS is important, keep looking. Calls can be recorded locally or all calls automatically recorded. It is a little bit of a hassle to retrieve them. Easy to set up and operate inside of, and end user friendly.

Pros

  • The interface is very clean, well-designed and free from distractions.
  • Recordings are of very high quality and can be stored on the server indefinitely. They can be easily accessed via a web link (and can now be password protected). Recordings can be exported in mobile-compatible format as an MP4.
  • Meeting rooms persist from one login to another, so the host and the participants can always have a familiar interface to work with.
  • It's easy to add polls and use them throughout a session.
  • Because of the large user base, there are a number of add-ins you can use to enhance your webinars.

  • They have a great interface for creating simple to complex dial plans. I didn't think we needed something very complicated, but it was easy to see how some of the features that weren't available to us before could be useful.
  • You don't need to download a desktop application.
  • The mobile app is very streamlined, which keeps it from becoming a technical issue.

Cons

  • Recordings default to Flash which can't be viewed on many mobile devices. They offer the ability to export recordings as MP4s, but it would be nice if you could set this as the default.
  • Some useful features are not provided with the hosted model, such as Adobe Presenter, which allows you to upload content directly from PowerPoint, preserving settings and fonts.

  • The support people are great, but it takes a very long time to get a hold of someone.
  • As the administrator I have had a difficult time re-finding some of the set-up pages because it's a little bit of a maze to get between the Voice side and the LogMeIn account.

The only reason I would see us renewing our contract is once again pricing, but also fear of switching. We cannot be certain that we won't encounter the same reliability, communication, and complexity issues we've experiences with the Adobe Connect software. I think this holds us back from switching, but ultimately, because of the vast and varied problems we've experienced with the platform, I do not believe we should or will renew our contract with Adobe Connect.

The ability to have most of the functionality of a full LMS at a fraction of the cost is huge. I can create manage and deploy both synchronous and asynchronous training based on the situation and all of my training is tracked through a series of easily created reports

Prices do not seem to vary much among resellers of the Adobe Connect hosted license; the only price variation you're likely to find are among the audio providers. When implementing, you may also wish to look into expanding the amount of storage you are allowed on the server to avoid any problems later on as your library of files starts to build up

We have use multiple products in the past for customer interaction and from a employee communication product Adobe Connect works really well!

We initially looked at Skype for business as it seemed to be the most popular use for many companies. However, it did not fit in out budget and we were looking for something right for our team. There are some collaboration things that are available in Skype that we don't really need at this point.

  • Saved money on travel
  • Able to train multiple people at once so saved time.
  • Consistantcy. If I sent a client my URL he/she can use the same one next time. So, less confusion when sending the invite to the room.
  • It is customizable; the screens can be moved around to fit your needs.
  • Hyperlinks are dynamic on the screen so a client can just on the screen to access the data.

  • Positive- Consolidate phone companies into one provider and one bill.
  • Positive- All locations use the same hardware. Allowing easy swap and repair.
  • Negative- internet goes down, phones go with it. So lost customer contact and no out going calls affect profits.
