  • I only have experience using the reporting function in AppNexus which worked very well. I cannot speak so much for their cloud based platform.

Cons

  • At the time it was missing some of the features available with Marin Software and Kenshoo regarding keyword filtering and the ability to quickly add new keywords.

  • The report saving function on the UI always seemed to have issues. I would save my reports all of the time but they would not store. In order to get around this I had to re-open recently made reports and adjust parameters in there. Although this is not a huge setback, it was still an inconvenience especially with daily reporting needs.

It has performed well above our expectations and has given us the time we'd be better off spending on building new strategies and customer development, over manual PPC campaign management. The ROI far exceeds what we could have promised on our own with many clients and we wouldn't want to give up that kind of almost guaranteed ROI for our clients.

I love almost everything about AppNexus because I feel like the user data is easy to track because of the identifiers, you can see which adverts got clicked and which were ignored. We can track the location of the ad on the page fold and this makes it so much easier for future campaigns. The only thing I don't like is that the data is only kept for a year, and I'd like it for a longer period of time

It definitely takes some instruction to get to be able to use the system. One would struggle trying to get it to work without any previous experience with it. If you are famailiar with the interface it is actually quite fast and easy to maneuver around.

Customer support is very hands on and the Adobe team pulls from what ever department of expertise to get the problems solve quickly and efficiently

Because the support team does give you support, they take 24hrs to get back to you but once they open a ticket they focus on resolving the issue for you. My only problem is that you don't have a specific account representative assigned to you.

Alternatives Considered

We have only gone with the Adobe Media Optimizer, as it seemed the most appropriate tool for what we wanted to use it for and offered an optimization tool as well as a reporting platform that others didn't. We took into account the abilities of Marin software and Navis, but none could offer the benefits that AMO could

Appnexus is the only one that i have used but I don't see why I would use anything else. It fits all of my needs, has extra things that I never got a chance to use and I look forward to learning and playing more with the data tools. I also like knowing that our user data is safe and never matched to identifiable information

  • This has increased the amount of productivity and time we can spend on clients.
  • This has increased the overall revenue because we can handle more than we used to be able to handle without this tool.

  • ROI over all has improved because we do have quicker leads and can tell user interest.
  • Analysts spend less time looking at the data because it's displayed in a clear and concise manner.
  • I personally like that it can work with Google's Doubleclick to make it double trouble in tracking ads and exchanges.
