Adobe Media Optimizer

I think it is good to keep in mind the type of business application you have in mind when selecting Media Optimizer for your company. For us, as an agency, it makes sense for us to utilize the reporting and paid search optimizing portions for our clients as we manage over 300+ clients PPC campaigns. With this tool it is possible to set up campaigns easily and as long as the parameters are set correctly within the portfolio, there is a great opportunity for the tool to do its job and use the simulation/modeling process to run and grow a paid search campaign with ease of human interaction.

Facebook for Business

I think it's extremely well suited for any situation where a business is on Facebook. Whether you're managing just one page or managing fifty plus, there are lots of tools available to make it easier on the manager. The access you get to page insights, the ability to schedule posts, and the ad manager are all tools that can help everyone

Pros

  • It has multiple customized report templates.
  • It allows us to make personalized simulations based on number of clicks, impressions and expenses.
  • It has a great technical support that answers all the doubts quickly and clearly.
Benjamin Cornejo profile photo
  • Provides us with the ability to focus on specific areas of the country and demographics
  • Can promote various events as needed
  • Works well with other platforms we use

Cons

  • At the time it was missing some of the features available with Marin Software and Kenshoo regarding keyword filtering and the ability to quickly add new keywords.
Tony Guarnaccia profile photo
  • It can be very difficult to attribute performance metrics to specific campaigns ad sets and creative therefore impossible to accurately dissect and analyze the data.
  • The interface is not as fluid as it could be, quite clunky and in need of a revamp.
  • Unable to see the share of voice and competitor statistics.

It has performed well above our expectations and has given us the time we'd be better off spending on building new strategies and customer development, over manual PPC campaign management. The ROI far exceeds what we could have promised on our own with many clients and we wouldn't want to give up that kind of almost guaranteed ROI for our clients.

We have to continue using this tool in order to be effective on this marketing platform. Though there are several changes I wish we could see, the fact is that we will still need to use this product to provide customers with the information they need.

It definitely takes some instruction to get to be able to use the system. One would struggle trying to get it to work without any previous experience with it. If you are famailiar with the interface it is actually quite fast and easy to maneuver around.

I find it very cumbersome to use. It is a clunky system and often times very buggy. The customer support, though helpful, is very slow to resolve issues.

Because they have really thought ahead and made all the help content very simple to understand and the training videos were very detailed.

It was difficult initially, but the implementation of the Dynamic Tag Manager was a big help and timesaver.

Take all of the training offered through Facebook first before attempting to create a page on the platform. Learn all of the capabilities available to you. Learn about the different types of audiences who might be interested in seeing your page. Create short video clips as though they are viewed at a much higher rate than anything else. Offer free giveaways or raffles to further build to your list of prospects and drive traffic to your website

Alternatives Considered

We have only gone with the Adobe Media Optimizer, as it seemed the most appropriate tool for what we wanted to use it for and offered an optimization tool as well as a reporting platform that others didn't. We took into account the abilities of Marin software and Navis, but none could offer the benefits that AMO could

Facebook is one of the best platforms for reaching a wide and varied audience.

Return on Investment

  • Increase in the margins of spending and profit.
  • Allows us to make decisions based on statistics and percentages given by the simulations and not in simple intuitions or advice from third parties.

  • Overall it had a positive impact on the business, but of course when expectations were not set too high in comparison with what the platform usually offers.
