LinkedIn Marketing is best for: B2B companies that have a high customer LTV to justify the lead costs, marketing teams of all sizes, and companies with marketing budgets greather than $5k. LinkedIn Marketing is worst for: B2C companies that are marketing a low-value product, marketing teams that aren't tech-savvy, or a marketing budget below $5K

  • Easier integration with other Adobe tools, as well as 3rd party tools, would be nice.

  • Comparatively higher CPCs than search or alternative channels such as Facebook, not crazy about minimum bids

It has performed well above our expectations and has given us the time we'd be better off spending on building new strategies and customer development, over manual PPC campaign management. The ROI far exceeds what we could have promised on our own with many clients and we wouldn't want to give up that kind of almost guaranteed ROI for our clients.

It definitely takes some instruction to get to be able to use the system. One would struggle trying to get it to work without any previous experience with it. If you are famailiar with the interface it is actually quite fast and easy to maneuver around.

Alternatives Considered

I think it's a good way to automate and take more control during the digital advertising process.You can have access to a lot of data, spreadsheets and statistics, but that is difficult to manage at the beginning.

I think LinkedIn Marketing Solutions is much easier to use than Google AdWords. That being said Google AdWords has much better targeting and doesn't cost as much if you know how to properly use the tool. LinkedIn Marketing Solutions clicks are generally more expensive, but have better quality leads with higher conversion rates. From an awareness perspective, it does a much better job than Google AdWords. From an investment standpoint, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions is better because you don't have to spend as much time or money learning how to use the tool. The support is much better than AdWords.
